Congrats on the recent approvals and good luck on upcoming interviews!

BigBubble, congrats on recieving the interview letter!

I'm so nervous about mine which is in a week! Guys who recieved the interview notice, what do you think they mean by "bring copies of supporting documents that you submitted with your application"? What is "supporting documents" exactly? Do they mean "supporting documents of bonafides of marriage"(included with I-130) or just ALL the documents submitted in general(EVERYTHING submitted in AOS package)?

1)Like,with I-864 we submitted copies of 7 month's worth of paystubs (which is 14 pages) of our joint sponsor, are we supposed to bring these 14 pages again including the additional 2 revent months' paystubs??

2)And copies of all W2s and tax returns too?

3)We also submitted our actual bank statement (original, not a copy), does it mean we need to print out a copy of it for the interview?

4) Utility bill to show that household member's address matches ours, needs to be printed again?

5) And a copy of I-94 and passport pages?

I just don't want to carry too much unneccesary stuff to the interview and then spend a bunch of time going through tons of prints and documents when looking for something. Let me know copies of what papers you are going to bring to your interview, and any input on this is appriciated!

I have my interview on Monday and I will take a big binder with me, which has separate "pockets" that I labeled to find things easier. I will bring one exact copy of my AOS that I sent in (they always recommend to do so and I believe that that is what they mean by "copies of supporting documents that you submitted with your application"). I will also bring everything I sent in again as the original. they ask for that in the interview letter. So I will have the marriage certificate, birth certificate for both, bank statements and so on. I will also bring our wedding album full of pictures and some more photos of the 2 of us between sending in the AOS and now. I went over the letter over and over again and am now sure that I have everything they ask for! :-) Wish me luck!

Shoot for the moon - even if you miss, you'll land among the stars...

We took a big folder box with separate files for each set of documents. In my case they asked for some documents that I thought may not be needed. Organize your documents and take everything, just in case. Good luck to you for the interview.

This is my first post here. Good luck to those going through the immigration process esp. to those who will do their interviews. Congratulations to those who got approval! A special congratulations to Saspak.

Im an August filer, adjusted from B1B2. We filed 130, 485 and 765 concurrently, got my EAD after just over a month. Had my interview yesterday and it wasn't as tough as we thought it was going to be.

Interview was at Raleigh-Durham office, 8am, got there at 7am. went through security and was ushered to the waiting room.

Number was called out, an IO led us to his office, swore us in. Io was in his late 20's, very cordial, made us feel comfortable.

Asked for my passport, SSA card, husband's driver license. Asked basic questions: my name, address, bday, parents name, when and how my husband and I met, when and where we got married, his job, my job in my country and my plans now.

Looked at pictures, he and my husband talked about our garden in the pics. Asked for updated copies of bills, bank statements, CC's, insurance, etc. We gave them originals as we didnt have copies.

Asked abt my previous visits to the US (last one was 6th), any extension, longest time I stayed here, any secondary inspection. Before he asked the 'yes-no questions', he said, 'i hope this won't make you feel uncomfortable cos this is just routine.'

He took notes and would look at us when he asked the questions.

He said our case was easy and he would approve it. Gave me a pen and a note pad to write as he was telling me abt. filing for removal of condition 90 days b4 my CR expires. Took my I-94 and said he was updating my online status. He said my GC will arrive in the mail in 2-3 weeks and I can use it to travel in and out of US, with my passport.

He shook our hands and congratulated us.

Reminders:

1. leave any electronic device, food (even small candies and mints), drinks, pocket knives, anything metallic (except keys) in the car

2. be organized. make cover page for documents. tab pages. (they like it when we make it easy fo them)

3. BE HONEST (it seems they know everything) honesty worked for me.

4. answer ONLY the questions being asked, do not go into details and elaborate answers unless asked specifically

5. relax the night before the interview. I know this is hard to do, but the interview is not as horrible as I thought it was)

6. pray that everything goes well

I hope this helps a little. Thank you all.
