I got my interview letter in the mail today....woohoo! I am scheduled for November 9th at 10.30 am in San Antonio.

One question though: on the letter it says to bring the birth certificate and evidence of United States citizenship (passport) for my husband. Do y'all know if the birth certificate can be substituted with the passport? He doesn't know where it's at and I am not sure if we can get a new one in time. For the application it asked for either or, I am a bit confused now.

I received my EAD today then I ran to the nearest SSA office to apply for SSC, they told me that I will receive it within 2 weeks :yes:

It seems like almost everyone who filed in the first part of August recieved their interview letters, and now I'm starting to get worried.. I filed on July 30,and everyone else who filed around that time got their interview letters.Maybe my letter got lost in the mail or I accidently tossed it away with the junk mail??!I don't even know what to think anymore...I don't mind having an interview later, I'm just paranoyed because everyone else got their notices...

2-year green card application:

07/29/2009- Mailed I-130, I-485, I-693, I-864, I-864A, G-325A, I-765 via USPS.

08/02/2009- Package delivered to Chicago.

08/06/2009- Checks cashed.

08/10/2009- Received NOA's for I-485, I-130, I-765 (issued August 6th).

08/19/2009- Recieved Biometrics Appointment notice (bio apt 9/12 at 9am).

08/21/2009- Recieved RFE for I-485 (issued August 17th).

08/22/2009- Responded to RFE.

09/01/2009- Case processing resumed (RFE recieved on 8/27/2009).

09/01/2009- Walk-in biometrics at 1:00pm, in and out in 15mins.

09/09/2009- Recieved e-mail: EAD card production ordered on 09/08/2009.

09/14/2009- Recieved another e-mail: EAD card production ordered (AGAIN!) on 09/11/2009.

u r not going to loose nothing if you call USCIS and ask if they 've sent it yet?

when looking at some timeframes for other vjers.. it looks like the RFE could push one back several weeks :blush: ur interview letter might come closer to the time for ppl filing mid august seeing thats when u completed ur RFE.. just a hunch from looking at the trends.. as it was said b4, wouldn't hurt to call.. :thumbs:

For all of those who have Interview dates set, has your online USCIS case been updated? I received my letter over a week ago and it still says my I-485 is under initial review and has not been updated since 9/11/09.

dont worry too much about the online thing. i couldnt even see my I-130 and I-485 online (said it was invalid number) until they approved me last friday! also the I-485 is still on "initial review" from august 5th. so i wouldnt even worry about it!

May 2002 -- Met online.

07/16/02 -- Decided to start a long distance relationship.

01/09/04 -- Finally met him in person when he visited me in London, UK.

June & Dec 04 -- Visited him in Los Angeles, CA.

07/10/05 -- Arrived in the U.S. on F-1 Visa.

07/18/05 -- Got married in Las Vegas, NV.

01/08/09 -- Visited London, UK with him.

06/12/09 -- My graduation, F-1 Visa expires in 60 days.

07/30/09 -- Sent off I-485 and I-130 TODAY!

Only my EAD and AP are up to date, the I-130 and I-485 are in the system but have not been touched. Don't worry about it, everybody says that the online-thing is not reliable when it comes to updates! :-)

Well,just like I expected(based on the previous experience I had calling USCIS), the customer service representative just read me my on-line case status (which I check 2 times a day myself), and told me I need to wait till October 27th, since that's 60 days from the day they received my response for evidence... :cry:

2-year green card application:
