Also, I'm noticing a strange trend. EAD approvals before AP approvals. This isn't the case for everyone, but I'm surprised it happens at all since I expected the AP to be approved before the EAD.

Not with everybody. I got my AP before EAD.

I realize this which is why I said that this is not the case for everyone. Regardless, I would expect the processing involved in approving an AP is less than the processing involved in handling an EAD application. Perhaps it is and the order that these applications are approved or queued is random.

I received an email on 9/30 that the EAD app has been approved and card production was ordered. Then today I received another email saying the same thing (also for the EAD). Strange. Has anyone else had this happen to them?

My thought was that they meant to mark the I-131 as approved since the EAD was already approved, but that doesn't hold any water since it doesn't look like you even applied for an AP. :huh:

rsn, I received my first e-mail for the AED approval on 09/25. On 10/01 I received a second e-mail saying the same thing. Today I had the card in the mail and just a few minutes ago I received another e-mail that says again that my EAD was approved and card production ordered. I have no clue why that would happen, but am happy, that somebody works on my case :-)

Shoot for the moon - even if you miss, you'll land among the stars...

AOS completed in 11/2009

ROC completed in 06/2012
Received BBG from Germany in 02/2013

Passed N-400 interview and civics test 06/07/2013

Oath ceremony some time in July

I just received my Notice of Interview letter in the mail yesterday for October 29th. I have yet to receive my EAD or Advance Parole. Has anyone heard of this before? Getting an interview date before the EAD or Advance Parole? I cant believe I got the letter so soon, we were expecting the interview to be in late November but late October! Such a surprise. :)

The timeline:

10/16/03 Moved to US on H1B (good for 3 years)

08/24/06 Second H1B (good for another 3 years)

07/01/07 Met husband

07/27/08 Engaged

03/14/09 Married- snowy, winter wedding in Vermont!

08/31/09 I-485, I-130, I-765 & I-131 received at lockbox in Chicago

Hmm, and as of late it looks like everyone who receive their EAD approval email also received an AP approval email. No AP approval for us yet and our EAD was approved (according to CRIS) on 9/30. Drat!

I had my Biometrics done today. Good I didn´t try do an early walk-in since they didn´t allow it in my office, they were checking the appointment dates very carefully :blink:

I checked my email today and I reveived an EAD and AP card production order. Yay!!!! :dance:

Biometrics done in Newark and got the email from USCIS that they are printing and mailing EAD and it will come in 30 days. So quick for my EAD because I just sent the application on 08/29/2009. So happy!
