I've just received an email from USCIS that my husband's petition, the I-130, was approved!!!

The email says that they sent the approval notice today :dance:

there is a September thread altho its not many of us on there..

09/21/09 Sent off I130, I485, I131, I765.. YAYYYYYY[/color]

09/23/09 package received

09/28/2009 all 4 NOA's printed (received on OCT 1ST)

09/30/09 checks cashed!

10/05/09 receive biometrics appt for 10/28/2009

10/13/09 walk in biometrics.. !

10/26/2009 receive interview letter for NOV 30th 11:30!!!! PRAISE GOD!

11/06/2009 receive advance parole papers.. no email, no updates beforehand..

11/16/2009 After 2 WEEKS of checking the mail thinking the EAD and AP come about the same time, we get the "card production ordered" email for the EAD.. better late than never.. thank you LORD!!!

11/19/2009 receive another email stating "card production ordered"

11/23/2009 receive EAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

11/30/2009 bittersweet interview, but WE ARE APPROVED

12/02/09 social security card in mail

12/04/09 receive "welcome" letter in mail

I just got 2 e-mails from USCIS that say that my travel and work permit are approved and I will receive approval notice and card in the mail soon!!! I am so relieved!

Shoot for the moon - even if you miss, you'll land among the stars...

I just got 2 e-mails from USCIS that say that my travel and work permit are approved and I will receive approval notice and card in the mail soon!!! I am so relieved!

Could anybody please so kind to let me know what is that meant because I am currently leaving in New Jersey. Let say later I have appointment for interview so we will have to fly to California for interview? that is too far for us....

Hi Matthew&Huong. No, you won't have to go to the interview to California :) Interviews are always held at the nearest USCIS local offices. For instance, the majority of marriage-based applications are at Missouri Service Center, but the applicants don't go there for the interviews. I heard several times that cases that transfer to CSC for many people are approved without an interview :)

2-year green card application:

07/29/2009- Mailed I-130, I-485, I-693, I-864, I-864A, G-325A, I-765 via USPS.

08/02/2009- Package delivered to Chicago.

08/06/2009- Checks cashed.

08/10/2009- Received NOA's for I-485, I-130, I-765 (issued August 6th).

08/19/2009- Recieved Biometrics Appointment notice (bio apt 9/12 at 9am).

08/21/2009- Recieved RFE for I-485 (issued August 17th).

08/22/2009- Responded to RFE.

09/01/2009- Case processing resumed (RFE recieved on 8/27/2009).

09/01/2009- Walk-in biometrics at 1:00pm, in and out in 15mins.

09/09/2009- Recieved e-mail: EAD card production ordered on 09/08/2009.

09/14/2009- Recieved another e-mail: EAD card production ordered (AGAIN!) on 09/11/2009.

09/16/2009- EAD recieved in the mail.

09/21/2009- Applied for a SSN.

09/30/2009- Recieved SSC.

10/14/2009- Received interview notice (Interview on 11/16 at 9:35am)

11/16/2009- Interview,APPROVED and CARD production ordered e-mail!Yay!

11/19/2009- Welcome Notice Recieved and Card production ordered e-mail again!

11/27/2009- Received green card in the mail!

Removal of Conditions:

09/09/2011- Sent the package via Priority mail, with delivery confirmation.

09/12/2011- Package delivered.

09/13/2011- Check cashed.

09/14/2011- NOA issued and received on 09/17/2011.

09/15/2011- Biometrics appointment issued for 10/05

what is the meaning of touch? i read in your timeline and so many other VJ's 130 touch or I-485 touch. what is that and how you know that it is touch?
