Ok,

Your brother-in-law should probably file as a household member, then his income is added up to your husband's, and then you look if it meets the poverty guidelines. This way, you have 4 people in the household:him, his wife, your husband and you. The poverty linr for 4 people is $27,562. Brother-in-law would fill out I-864A form, and would have to provide a yax return and 6 month's paystubs and/or amployr letter.

Does your husband's+brother-in-laws income added together meet the poverty guideline?

Hi Rahul,

Thank you. I have received mail from CRIS saying " Request for initial evidence sent, case placed on hold".

But I have no idea what is this for besides the NABC. What do you think and how did you get your email when you received RFE?

Thank you.

Yeah I got the same e-mail and was wondering what is the RFE about and then when I finally received the yellow paged RFE I came to know its about the Birth Certificate. They also send you the Indian 1969 law page about Registering Birth and Death. You would have to wait till you get the letter to see what it is about? But I would still say start getting NABC.

Finally I got the RFE asking the Birth Certificate or NABC. They are also asking some school or church records with my parents name on it. I am wondering what I can give besides the 10th school mark list which has the birth date but it doesn't have my parents name. Will that be enough? I also have two affadivits from my parents which I already sent with the package. Please advise.

Thank you

ok, so my husband's is working for $12.50/hr .. then his brother-in-law works for $49.46/hr .. that's equals to $24,000 annually for my husband, $94,963.20 annually for his brother-in-law, combined together = $118,963.20

It's too much. I'm really not sure if my husband needs a joint sponsor because his annual income is $24,000, whereas household of 2 is only $18k+ in the poverty guideline, and I have pay stubs for the past 6 months to prove that he is earning this money.

thank you so much for your help Inna.

Hallo Bigbubble and Richa,

Good news is that I ve got Biometrics Appointment letter...so happy. May be Richa will get it tomorrow or this week, sometimes the post office is slow...

So funny that if any day I open the mailbox, will be nothing for me but if my husband opens it will have something for me...yesterday I opened the mail box and nothing and I told my husband to open it today. This lunch time he passed by to say hello because he went to dentist from work at lunchtime and he opened the mailbox in front of the house and give this letter for me. Same as for my SSN last time he is the one who get it...When I stay at home all day and easy for me to open the mailbox right in front of our house but I dont open it when I am expecting my papers ;-)))
