Federal Gestapo Services ask good citizens to report any emails about health insurance reform that seem "fishy" to flag@whitehouse.gov

But Gary - you're always talking about the need to "clean house" in government and bemoaning corruption. Why then would you insist on justifying this sort redundant militant tripe?

Aren't you then just feeding the inherent corruption by doing this?

Essentially you're saying that the other side should fail - simply because they're the ones pushing for healthcare reform. Surely the discussion should be confined to what is actually being proposed, rather than inventing some spurious ####### to derail the process and wanting it (whatever it is) to fail at any cost.

Yep, and clean house we will. Right now, today, the goal is to stop the healthcare reform. The only way to do that with the hyper majority in congress is to use any means available. Next year the people will be tired of both sides and we will get the clean sweep I want.

Is this any different that the dems assertions that the GOP would make seniors eat dog food and live on the streets when the reps were in power? You act as if the GOP is doing something new.

I am not aware of any such claims having been made. Maybe you can share some details on that?

But let's say those claims were made - these would be just as dirty and unjustified. And claiming to seek bi-partisanship while making such outrageous claims would be just as dishonest.

That doesn't change the fact, however, that the GOP is, in fact, not seeking bi-partisanship on health care reform but is pursuing a strategy to kill any reform effort whatsoever. That's the point I am making here in response to your complaint that the GOP doesn't get any opportunity for input. They do but they don't want it.

You may not have been in America when this was going on. Trust me, the dems even ran commercials showing seniors eating dog food if the reps took power. And your right, we don't want to compromise on this. We want no part of it at all and we will kill this. Just watch.

Okay, so you then concede that your point that the GOP isn't offered the opportunity for input into the health care legislation is incorrect and that they'd rather see the health care reform fail and, hence, the current wasteful and ineffective system continue to wrek the health of our population as well as the overall economy. Glad we cleared that up.

facts .... ok ... why is the administration not doing everything humanly possible to get them in front of the voters?

Its in the bill, should you care to discuss particulars.

Which one? HR 3200? There are 3 or 4 bills being circulated in the Senate and House.

Any of them that is generating the March of the Liars.

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.

We want no part of it at all and we will kill this. Just watch.

First tidbit of honesty I've seen coming from the Right Wingers regarding health care.

The Obama Administration can now effectively tell them '** you' right back and push this through. Time to take off the gloves since the Right Wingers don't want to play nice. We will have health care reform and the Right Wingers will have egg on their face. Mark my words.

Watch the news man, the dems are getting such an earful that this stands no chance when congress comes back. The Blue Dogs will not go along with this. This is now a dead issue.

The fake plants aren't going to scare congressional Democrats into maintaining the status quo. Last November is still fresh on their minds and the minds of the American people. We had 8 years of Right Wing agenda and the American have spoken resoundingly. All the thugs and bullies by the Right Wing isn't going to stop this President. Sore loseritis is dreadful disease.

Just watch Steven. The health care reform will fail, so will cap and trade.

Memories of the General Election.

'Obama will lose'

So if I read you right here (and on the other page) you appear to be suggesting that its perfectly justifiable making completely, utterly false claims about proposed legislation in order to stop "the left" achieving a vaguely defined philosophical goal. Doesn't matter what's actually in the bill - it should be shot down regardless?

That's the strategery.

No I don't concede that the reps have a say in things. We don't. Since we don't killing it is the only option. I don't deny that we could make things better but the dems have a my way or the highway attitude. Hence the total opposition. It is the only option available.

In terms of 'polls' it is amazing how the numbers change from disfavor to favor once people are informed of the details in the actual legislation. Just sayin'.

which bill?

which item on the 1000+ pages?

the one where the funding requested will not be exceeded and will be enough without the need for the gov't to go-back-to-the-well?

Yep...that statement right there shows that the Right Wingers have no scruples when it comes to political warfare...which is what they consider this as. They should have raised the white flag back in November, after the election and surrendered graciously....let the Dems take this country in a different direction, as promised in the campaign. But no....these sailors aren't going to have any of it and will commit mutiny for their gain.

Again, that's factually wrong. Making this claim would suggest that the Republicans that work in Congressional Committees to shape the bill are engaging in futile exercises. Are they?
