Just make a cross section - of the various months.

Black out or erase the "naughty bits"

It's what I did :)

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

WARNING: Phrases in this post may sound meaner than they were intended to be. Read the Adjudicator's Field Manual from USCIS

We had chat logs from MSN Messenger and what I did was copy a conversation and edited on an excel sheet, that way it showed the names, the dates, the times. I did this with 2 conversations per month for 2½ years, one sheet per chat converstion, so only two pages per month. I have to say that the CO read every single page, so I'm glad I did it.

I agree, just print out a few chats from each month showing various times. I would do more than 2 each month. I would probably do one a week. But that's just my opinion.

They do read everything you provide them so definitely remove the naughty things. But leave in disagreements or things like that... shows that you're a real couple and real couples disagree!

chat archive not a requirement for the I-129F as the "proof" required is primarily evidence of a "face to face" meeting within the last two years and both parties are free to marry. Proof of bonafide relationship evidence is more needed come consulate interview.

If CO is reading every single word, will be interesting, because we are talking in hungarian language. Maybe I will translate all of the conversations.

I used a "cross section" of Yahoo/Skype chats and the logs of connections/phone calls. My girl does not type well so mostly we talked. Bolstered by the telephone and email records before I got Skype phone service it is about 30 pages. I was told that is enough. If I sent everything then it would be about a gazillion pages.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

I didn't actually include any email or chat content, per se, just records of when and how we talked. I created a big long list of our Skype phone calls from my history showing who started the call, what time/date, how long it lasted and whether it was a video call. That ran to many pages.

I did much the same with emails; who sent & received it, date/time and subject line. Also many pages. There were probably about 30-40 pages in total that we included with the I-129F (although I realise it probably wasn't looked at until the embassy stage). The CO just leafed through a couple of the pages and that was that - he was satisfied with *how* and *when* we communicated rather than what was said so don't think you need to include pages and pages of transcripts or the text of emails (although a couple of selected highlights might not go amiss).

Yes I had a similiar interview, CO skipped threw the pages and was asking me about dates and times more than anything mentioned in the chat logs. I sent in Portions of msn conversations with my application because at the time I thought they were needed but apparently not but my interview was very short perhaps because I sent all of my engagement proof in the initial K1 application?

Yes, I used them for Naty, the previous responders both have excellent ways to accomplish that. ( And yea, look out for them "naughty bits".)

Comments : She recived the first notice from Manila on Valentines day. Perfect timing.

The first setback came during the medical. Naty had to do the 3 day sputum and then we waited 2 months for the results. YESSSS>came back negative

Went for her interview on July 16th and received her Pink Slip......Finally. Paid the AIR21 and I expect her here August 10th, 2009. Marriage will be August 21st, exactly 4 years to the day that we first met.

I am using Yahoo IMs also, I already used IMs in the original proof of relationship. I will do screen shots of the archive then I will print off 3 or 4 IMs per month, which would be 4 months. I will have the archive and some examples. Good luck.

It's what I did :)

Why?

Seems that the spicy stuff would be proof of a bonafide relationship. In fact, it puts the BONE in bonafide.

If I was a CO scanning the YM IM, I would find it suspicious if references to sex or love making were conspicuously absent.

Puritan influence runs strong. It's ok, we understand.

I included all 100 pages of IMs with my K1 application. I also sent my fiance the same IM log with all subsequent conversations (post K1 app). I did the same with all my other proofs. At the interview, they didn't ask my fiance for IM, e-mails, phone records - nothing except photos, which I also included in the original app. So, I say print everything, even if it takes a while. My philosophy is to never be shy with the proof. Let them decide what they want to read and don't.

To cut down on ink and time, always click the fast print option on your print settings and it will print super fast.
