This is email is the generic one they send out to everyone who is under AR (Administrative Review). All they have to do is to fill in the name and case number and hit the send button hopping you would get off their arses for a while. I got a few of these emails everytime I inquired about my wife's case back then and so did many of the members here. I found it was a waste of time contacting the Consulate anyway but if doing so would provide you at least a bit of hope, then please do follow up with them. I emailed them every month during the whole year we were under AR and although I knew I would get the same response back, I still did it hoping for a better answer each time.

Administrative Processing or Addtional Processing is all the same. Do not let the wording throw you off course. If you do not get a pink slip on the spot at the day of the interview and you have to submit more evidience or documentations, then get a blue sheet telling you to go home, do nothing and wait ... That's Administrative Review or I would call it "####### Ripped" (pun intended) ... While in AR, some people will get the favorable results within a few weeks, if not days ... Some will get it within months or in rare instances, in years or worst, a denial. Whatever your case is, do not loose sight of the BIG PICTURE (Chuck said it best over and over). If you have a rock solid case, fight for it. Seek help from your congressmen, senators if you have to or even your attorney if you have money to spare.

I used to be indecisive. Now I am just not sure ...

Thanks...your response helped me understand "AR" a little better. I'm not worried about what color slip we get because it will all work out in the end, but I am appreciative of at least some sort of response that our case is active and not just in AR collecting dust on someone's desk...

Good luck John,

Jerome

hey linda24

i spoken with my congressman help and he will lookinto the my case

John

Yea, I contacted mine as soon as my husband got the first blue slip...I don't think the second one is any reason for alarm though, it's just so they can buy more time and process the file. I'm just anxious to get results though so I can figure out what to do next...like if I need to bring anything with me when I go back.

...sometimes I just wished they'd "witness" our bona fide relationship for themselves instead of relying strictly on paperwork...--I'd have no problems...haha...

Hahahaha, I am sure most of us would not have any problems letting them witness a bona fide relationship!!
