It would be great to get a 10 year green card but dont see the point if you still have to lift the conditions

I am still patiently waiting for news on my permanent residency. I am off to the UK at the end of the month for a few weeks so hope that we wont get a interview but does seem like only a small chance as we were transferred to California

I read that if you get your GC for 10 yrs instead of 2, you have to let USCIS know about it. If you don't, they consider it as fraud. So better not to be so naive

The wife has spent the last several days searching and applying for jobs. She excited to get out of the house, earn an income, and finally get a car.

She must have taken the EAD card out of the envelope at least 5 times last night staring and admiring its beauty.

Tomorrow she takes the Praxis exam which is a step toward being a certified teacher.

It is a pretty cool looking card. We've decided to work on getting Kat's DL before January though we haven't decided when she will look for a job. It's probably a good idea to wait until she has her DL (unless she can find a job w/in walking distance), and probably also good to wait until after our 2 week trip to Thailand in January (unless she can find a job that will let her duck out for 3 weeks between now and the middle of January). We'll see.

We've been too busy and out of town for awhile... but wanted to give you an update.

Bio appintment went fine and took all of 5 minutes...incredible.. :thumbs:

We received interview appointment scheduled for November 3rd...

Now trying to get all our paperwork in order and have it prepared....don't want to be missing anything, incase they request it. :blink:

I received my EA card yesterday, and I received an email yesterday too that they already mailed the notice of approval for my application for permanent residency..I am so happy. I hope everyone of us here will get their approval/card soon..

Current Status: Notice mailed welcoming the new permanent resident.

On October 8, 2009, we mailed you a notice that we had registered this customer's new permanent resident status. Please follow any instructions on the notice. Your new permanent resident card should be mailed within 60 days following this registration or after you complete any ADIT processing referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later. If you move before receiving your card, please call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

If you have questions or concerns about your application or the case status results listed above, or if you have not received a decision from USCIS within the current processing time listed*, please contact USCIS Customer Service at (800) 375-5283.

Hi I edited my post.. :) but maybe its the same as EAD when they emailed me that they sent the notice of approval, I received the EA card..

Hi M&K congrats on receiving the interview letter, thats a good sign, certainly your EAD and AP are in the way very soon :thumbs: prepare anything that can show your bonafid marriage pics, life insurance, bank statements, debit/credit cards both names,...etc. Best of luck :star:
