We are in the same boat. Two EAD notices. We have received AP without a touch.

Well speak of the devil - Kat just called to let me know the AP arrived today. We had several touches but no email notifications or onlien status changes (for the AP). Now we are just waiting for the EAD to arrive (and of course the GC).

AOS: 08/08/2009 (mailed I-485, I-765, & I-131) - 10/29/2009 (received GC)

Looks like the new online system is a lot prettier but not much more reliable than the old system.

Just to clarify. We were touched on the date of receiving AP, but no update or email notification either. Looks like our cases are in the same pile over at CSC. Nern has been applying for jobs the past few days even though she's yet to receive the EAD card.

All the best to everyone

We got another email notice late last night stating

Application Type: I765 , APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION

Current Status: Approval notice sent.

On October 7, 2009, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I765 APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION.

I am presuming that this notice includes the card.

It seems like this is a reasonable expectation. I was thinking the same thing myself since we received the same email yesterday. Congrats!

I wonder if cases are transferred to CSC based on the workload of the local offices, the necessity or lack thereof for an interview or whether, like much else in this process, is arbitrary.

Some folks on a Thai immigrant site reported receiving 10 year GC without having waited 2 years nor ever receiving conditional residency.

Hey Pete!

Aaronlv was actually one of the recipients of an unexpected "10-year GC". He posted a question over here after he received it. The general consensus was that you will still need file to remove conditions before two years is up regardless of what the GC expiration date is. There were reports of some members who did not and were denied citizenship because they failed to remove conditions.

Kat received her EAD card today, and I suspect Nern will get hers today or tomorrow as well.
