For Filipinos: how long did u wait until u get the visa after interview?

Hello Kababayan's! I'm just trying to get an estimate for my hubby's arrival here so I know what date to reserve for his ticket. When you had your interview, when did you get the visa? My hubby's interview is on Sept 22. We were targeting an October 3 arrival in the US. Is 8 days enough time from his interview date. Do u think he will get his visa by then? Please share your experience. Thanks! BTW, my hubby lives in Manila area. :dance:

2009-06-13 : NVC case # assigned

2009-06-20: DS-3032/AOS Bill Generated and received via e-mail

2009-06-20 : DS-3032 e-mailed; AOS/I-864 Bill (paid online $70)

2009-06-25 : Sent In Completed I-864

2009-06-29 : IV Fee bill generated, paid online $400

2009-07-06: DS-230 cover sheet available, DS-230 mailed to NVC

2009-07-10: NVC started reviewing the DS-230 package according to AVR

2009-07-15 : Case in review

2009-07-20: Log in Failed! WOOHOO!

2009-07-21 : Case complete

2009-07-26 : NVC e-mailed an interview date for Sept.22

2009-08-10 : Case left NVC

2009-08-10 : DHL shipped file

2009-08-17 and 18 : Medical scheduled

2009-08-18: request for Interview to be re-scheduled - unsuccessful (physical file not in Manila yet)

2009-08-19: called USEM again, rescheduled date granted

2009-08-26: new interview date-- PASSED!! YIPEE!

2009-08-29: Visa in hand

2009-09-02: Seminar

2009-09-05: POE Finally after 5 years of being away from each other!

2009-09-15: SS card received. Job hunting begins ;-)

I would not get tickets until you have the visa in hand...

It could take a few days to arrive or it might take weeks, you never know...

Since you said your Hubby is living in Manila it will takes only 3-5 days for him to wait for his Visa delivery you can check it out in the delivery receipt that your Hubby received after paying for the Visa delivery,it usually takes a few days only when your living in Manila. In my experience after i got my interview I received my Visa on hand after 7 days but I'm living in Batangas that time so I'm pretty sure your Hubby will receive his Visa faster than mine. :thumbs:

Hi. My hubby got his visa delivered to my parents hometown (the province of Pampanga) 2 days after his interview.

We left the Philippines 10 days after receiving his visa. He had just enough time to take the CFO seminar/counseling 3 days before our flight to SF.

06/08/2009 - Interview -- VISA APPROVED

06/18/2009 - POE (SF, CA)

USCIS REMOVAL OF CONDITIONS (California Service Center)

03/30/2011 - I-751 Sent

03/31/2011 - NOA1

04/04/2011 - Checked Cashed

04/06/2011 - Received NOA1 Hardcopy

05/04/2011 - Biometrics Appointment

06/13/2011 - 10-YEAR GREEN CARD APPROVED

06/15/2011 - Received Approval Letter

06/17/2011 - RECEIVED NEW GREEN CARD

Had my interview July 24 and got my visa Aug 6. I stay in antipolo rizal, not too far from Manila.

waaaaahhh.. i just called Air 21 and was informed that my visa isn't released yet. im starting to get worried. when i got my text from air 21 the other day, i assumed that it was confirming that they already have my visa >< my bad all it contained was the information of my case no. and tracking no....my interview was oct 22.. its already been 7 days since.. idk how long it will take for them to release my visa or if i have any problems with it... >< i still haven't attended the CFO seminar. im starting to get worried. my house is practically 30 mins away from the US Embassy here in Manila!!

May 28 -- I-129F Sent

Jun 01 -- Check Cashed

Jun 08 -- NOA1

Aug 28 -- NOA2

Oct 14 -- Medical Exam

Oct 22 -- Interview @USEM

Oct 30 -- Visa received
