Yes, there is proof. Here is a link, I know, it's the huffington post, but you don't have to read the article there, and subsequently dismiss it as partisan drivel. At the bottom is a copy of the RNC internal memo that was leaked. That memo outlines their strategy, and the memo was distributed to grassroots organizations to coordinate these interruptions.

OK genius, the article isn't the proof. That's why I gave specific instructions as to where the RNC memo was....... Disregard the article and look at the memo at the bottom. If you can't be bothered to even read it, then dont' whine.

That memo was produced elsewhere I think - I posted an article yesterday that went into more detail about what's going on.

Well if you're genuinely interested - you can look at the article I posted. Or not.

Either way, there's your answer. And mine.

You won't even read a memo produced by the RNC that shows their strategy that proves a point because of the source where it was at? Sorry , I couldn't find a more friendly site to prove you wrong with. Why do you even bother trying to debate here? Clearly you've made up your mind and have no interest in facts or any sort of discourse that might prove your point of view wrong.

But if the economy has been running for decades on a foundation of ever increasing debt - this sort of thing was bound to happen. There's a counterpoint here.

Sarbanes Oxley was just a part of it. there are many things that contributed to the problem.

I'm sure - but reporting on the value dodgy assets that would ordinarily be kept off the balance sheet would seem to only make this happen sooner. Whether it happened sooner or later - that wouldn't be the primary reason that it happened at all: but rather the house of cards creative accounting that the economy was built on.

The assets werent dodgy they just went down in value. The affordable housing act that forced banks to loan money to dodgy recipients that would require them to lower their lending requirements and gave them the ability to make these "creative loans" was a disaster. The banks now are back to the old style in which you need 20% to buy.

The banks simply took advantage of the situation at hand, as most corporations do. Do I blame them for this? No, they are a for profit organization, they have no moral obligation to society unless so stated in their corporate charter. It would be nice if they felt some obligation to the country, but this is reality, not some fairytale.

And the idiot that applied for th loan was innocent? Did the evil banks seek out and hold the recipient of the loan to gunpoint? Ignorance is BLISS HEH! You need the gov. to take care of ya totally? Grow-up!

As I said, American politics sucks. There is no comparison and to even suggest it is to be part of the problem, not the solution. I am disappointed in this, very disappointed.

Ding Ding Ding, we have a winner!

Best post of the thread...you're right, it's ludicrous.

I was a bit sweeping with the "American politics sucks", that was just to add to the drama, American style ;)

I do think this sort of thing is ludicrous though, and to get all high horsey about it's just the GOP that do bad things is a nonsense for sure.

:secret: It's all carefully orchestrated misdirection. We don't want anyone to know our real purpose.

Communist takeover of the world!

Clearly logic escapes you......

No, the idiot who locked themselves into those loans is to blame. If you don't understand what you are signing yourself up to, you can't claim ignorance and get a do-over. Thats youre own personal responsibility.
