Yepper, that's all I got happening for me now. With how long this is taking, I am really able to get all the stuff done I need to with little to no stress. trying to be optimistic, that's for sure.

Good luck to you -- it sounds like it's all going to be okay actually -- you have no worries now w hich is great!

:D

Paris!

What's going on with your interview and stuff? ARe you guys going K3 or CR1? IN France or Algiers? Fill us in -- inquiring minds wanna know...

:)

Hey Girlie,

Interviewing for CR1 in Paris Nov. 17th

I have talked to the embassy, and they will try to give us a Nov. 3rd interview, I should know in a week or two. Otherwise, they will look at situation and see what can be done. His card expires 11 days before interview, and they know he is there legally and always has been. Found out the embassy requested our CR1 from NVC, and I saw a DHL go out yesterday to Paris at 4 pounds, HUM? short about 10 pounds, lol

They are trying to work with us on his card expiring, they understand the situation and etc.

In mean while, hubby thinks he can extend it by 2 weeks, and that is all we truly need,. so I think we will be okay.

Anyways GIRLIE, that is it, heard you changed your passport, good job.

You changed your passport to your married name? Wasn't it so annoying.

I need to change mine, but now I dont want to surrender it, guess will have to wait till he is home. I already started shopping for Thanksgiving, Im planning on him being here for dinner.

Truly happy!!!

New life, new adventures, and a new attitude.

Ooooh, that'd be fantastic. But isn't Thanksgiving in October? o_o...Oh never mind. USA thanksgiving is November 26th. Haa. That'll be werid to adjust to. But I'm praying each night for you Beth. n_n! And I want to hear all about the interviewer's face when you give them your 10lb binder of evidence.

Here's an odd twist...I got an RFE for our I-129F K-3 application today. I forgot to check the box "no" in Part C question 2 of "have you been convicted of these various crimes". Our I-130 has gone through USCIS, and our CR-1 petition is through NVC now and we're awaiting interview in Manila on Nov. 4. Don't they drop the I-129F application after the I-130 has been approved? They seem not to have done so in our case, but it begs the question, why have they taken so long with the I-129F? It was sent on 4-20 here. We have no reason or desire to pursue a K-3 at this point, so it is moot, but it seems that they do continue processing I-129Fs after I-130s have been approved. Has anyone else encountered this?

It takes 8 months for us to see each other back again since we started our visa process, and now here we are reunited back again and happy together.

Very odd indeed. Once a I130 is approved, very unlikey the K3 will be approved. Sounds like a officer got bored and processed a dead petition. I would not worry about it, or give it a second thought.

@bern...

Actually... changing the name on my passport was SUPER easy... I had to change my name on my Ontario health card first but all in all? The name change thing has been a snap. Go in, show them my birth certificate (I still have the short form one as I sent the long form to NVC) and a copy of my marriage certificate and all's done. Super easy. The passport people wanted at least on piece of ID with your new married name thus, the health card change.

I've been doing it in bits and pieces and now with the passport I'm done. I'm not bothering to change my SIN number but I changed all the work stuff, bank stuff and healthcare and passport. Now with the passport, I can do anything else if necessary.

So now, I'm done with that. It took them LESS than a week to get me my new passport. Ugly pic but it's all done...

Easiest part. And with all the waiting for an interview, I can never ever blame not having the time to get things done!

:)

For me to change my passport from maiden to married, I had to change my SIN card name and my provincial license. I still haven't changed my health card...I've just not had any time. I'm always at work when they're open and by the time I'm off, they're closed. :'(
