Hey Beth...

S'cuse my ignorance but what's your timeline like again? Like what kind of dates are you looking at to ensure that your husband interviews in France? Also, if he has to interview in Algeria (if I am wrong about Algeria, forgive me) would that be a horrible thing?

I realize you've probably told me this stuff before but now that I'm just hanging around waiting and not so focused on packages and sending and such, I'll be able to retain the info...

Chin up, girl... .

LGG

His french residency card expires Nov. 6th. so we need to interview mid October in order to have visa in hand and leave France the day of Nov. 6th.

As for Algeria, its not a bad thing, but I dont want him to go there, and Im also a bit nervous of traveling there.

He is trying to see what is in order to extend his card for 3 months, maybe we can, they I can breath a bit.

Truly happy!!!

New life, new adventures, and a new attitude.

Sorry for making you repeat all that -- I just read the older pages on this thread and figured it out.

You WILL get an interview before then -- look at French wife's history, she got an interview so fast in France it made my head spin.

My fingers are crossed for you, okay? This part is easier for me as I'm just waiting -- I don't have the same serious things hinged upon it as you do .

:D

See? I told you so...

you'll be fine -- your case is going to complete this week, it has to and you'll interview soon after. Easy-peasy. Me? I'll be sitting up here in Canada rotting away waiting for an interview from the a**hats that run our Montreal Consulate.

*sigh* Looks like I have an RFE. On hold with NVC to see what it has to do with, especially since I haven't received a checklist in my email (was apparently sent Sept. 11).

Hopefully it can be resolved pretty quickly if it is true, since they do like to mess with our lives....

Okay well, after a giant crying fit, I'll let you all know:

I have a co-sponsor, my grandmother. The checklist, per the CSR, says that on line 21c, she should have put 1 (if you are married). Well, unfortunately for the dumbarse CO overlooking my case is either blind or just stupid, my cover letter stated quite clearly that my grandfather passed away in February, thus she is no longer married - she is a widow. The supervisor was all, "So they want you to put household members as 3, but your grandfather passed?"

The second thing was on my I864, question 15 where it asks Country of Domicile. Well, of course, I wrote Canada, as I live in Canada and have done so since Dec. 2005. My mailing address is our home address, and the place of residence was answered "n/a" because it isn't different from my mailing address.

My case is going to further review now. She said 10-15 business days. I am just so frustrated and disappointed with NVC right now. I explained to the supervisor that I want to be home by Christmas because my cousin, whom I've seen for 1 day in the past 8 years is shipping to the Marines on Dec. 7. He is more like my brother and he is the only male cousin we have.

Sorry to hear about the situation....Seems like the COs can't seem to know how to do their own jobs. You would think that they would know what to do after reviewing thousands of cases and they may have come across all situations possible. Hopefully they take less than the time mentioned. Will be praying for you...
