Anybody doing NVC in August??

well called just now. Here is my conversation:

"Good morning , this is Mario ( sounded like he needed coffee)"

"Good morning Mario, I am trying to find the status of my cases at NVC. ( silenece...) can i give you my case number"

"yeah, what is it"

"blah blah blah "

dob: blah blah blah

"So how can i help you"

"what is the status of my case"

"we have recieved your documents and it will take 2- 4 weeks for review"

"But i heard on the AVR that i am missing document or information"

"I dont see anything like that. or, i would have mentioned to you sir. What that may mean we were waiting for your Ds-3032 and other documents "( what ??) (Silence)

" but that...."

he cut me off, and said some more things, i dont recall now....LOL..and said , "we have not opened the packeges yet. we have recieved them now, and review will take 2-4 weeks. ok , sir. have a good day. "

I am not satisfied. I am going to call again. but have to run to go to work.

I paid the AOS fee and it shows as PAID in online system now. Still no email or notification from NVC. They will send me another email with I-864 instructions or I should just send them right away?

Got email from USCIS Washington, we also got aproved for the K3 visa, we are going for the K3, I want him here ASAP!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, I caleld back NVC again

This time Liz picked up the phone.

The RFE is about DS-230 for the beneficiary. However, she says we recieved a package and that package has not been opened yet. Please allow 2- 4 weeks and we may be able to give you an update.

So , bottomline, this was a false Alarm. They reviewed previous package and found DS-230 missing. Of course. Its not even opened.

Second, The AVR this morning said, " NVC reviewed your documents and found missing information. A letter has been sent on Aug 7th..."

The Same AVR now says, "NVC reviewed your package and found missing information. A letter has been send on AUG 6Th"

I am not sure what to beleive but one thing for sure, Do not rely on the AVR. Speak to an operator in such cases.

Now since your Fee has been paid, go to the bottom of the reciept page and print the cover letter, then follow the link to the instructions for AOS print the I-864 EZ or I-864, whichever applies to you. and mail it in. You dont have to wait for their email or notice.

Others , please chime in with your experience. that is what I did for my two cases.

tells you that they received your papers

it ended up that the nvc number of the K3 and the nvc number of IR are in sequence, XXX003 the K3 XXX04 the IR

I would call today nvc to get my ir number

First papers are going to go to embassy and about 2 weeks embassy will call him on the phone he indicated on I129F

and they will send the packet 3 similar to the one I received.

I can send you the whole think if you want

I did not go for K3 though

you may want, probably quicker by 1-2 months

if embassy can give him interview asap

or you can play the K3 iterview and then run the nvc to have the interview changed to IR

I did not play the game

i have seen a lot of "false" rfes

seems that if they start reviewing the AOS and have not yet the applicant doc they start a RFE

it is important to talk to operation when it says checklist sent

checklist is an email

in my case it was saying sent but had not been sent yet

and I was able to fix one problem via email based on input of the operator

sometimes operator does not tell you all

just reads issue 1 but does not look for all

don't hesitate to ask

it's okay, Mohan... just call them back later today and see if it's in the system yet. Is is possible it's a false RFE like what I had? Like they haven't processed one of the packages? For mine, I guess they'd finished the I 864 and were looking for the DS230... perhaps that's it.

Call later today and see what the AVR says AND what the operator says.
