Not yet, maybe next week How do you know you got false RFE, do they send you an email?

So it pays to call the AVRS just to do a check up.

Okay, if you did not get a email 99% its a false RFE. I dont understand why the AVRS says that when then NVC operators confirm No its a false RFE. Call Tuesday anyways. I've seen so many get this message here on VJ. Its a ugly message, but common.

99% of time a email from NVC will follow if a real RFE!!! But still, I hate hearing that message, still makes me nervous. Im calling too Tuesday as soon as they open. UGH!!!!! Stop this emontional rollercoaster, I want to get off.

That is great Bern. NVC is not as bad as USCIS, atleast you can talk to a nice person there. Good news, I found my white gold pinky band. I misplaced it 2 years ago, found it in the buffet draw when I cleaned them out today!!!!! Tells me been too long since I totally cleaned out the buffet draws, now on to the dresser and chest draws in a 4 bedrooms.

It's possible that NVC issues a checklist letter after they review AOS package (when AOS is sent before IV package). That's what happened to me, they received my AOS package on 08.14 and issued a checklist RFE on 08.24 - I've got an email from them asking for DS-3032 and IV package. Now when they got my IV package the AVRS says "The NVC has received the checklist letter response on ..."

Very possible, a friend of mine here on VJ got same email you got, but she has NOT sent the DS-230 packet yet to NVC.

Did you ever get the email of DS-3032 accepted? We got email confirmation Sept 3rd. many days after they told me via phone.

But I admit, this time at NVC has gome fast, and almost over with, I hope by end of the week, or is that too soon?

This is coming from a person who got three RFE from NVC, one false and 2 real ones (and so that you don't think, no it was not my fault, NVC simply requested additional info that is not listed in the instructions).

First of all have limited trust in AVR...it is updated with 2-3 days delay and sometimes misleading. Try always to talk to an operator. In case you received an email (usually Friday afternoon) there is a way you can tell if the RFE (document checklist) is 'real' - look into the description of the missing documents, usually 'real' checklist is very specific as to what is missing...and not just general statement such as DS230...

And the good news is...if you get a false RFE for DS230 which happens quite often, you will already have a bar-coded page in case you receive a real RFE. This way if an operator tells you what is missing, you wouldn't have to wait for the email to come, you can send the docs right away. But be careful, always make sure you understood what exactly is missing. Just in case, call at least twice and ask the same questions

And, as difficult as it is keep your cool NVC can issue only 2 RFE and the minimum document requirement is that they have Affidavit of support signed and your DS230 part I and II...if a person responded to both RFE (even though not satisfactory for NVC) and NVC had received the required minimum of documentation (AOS and DS230) the case has to be forwarded to the consulate...and the consulate will deal with the benefitiary.

WOW mikey, that last sentence is a shocker. My last RFE said missing or incomplete docs, but never got a email, also message said letter mailed Sept 5th which was a Saturday, shall I think its false RFE?

It sounds like a false one...unless you get an email with a detailed info, don't worry. Call tomorrow and ask.

If you recieve an email for a false RFE you can disregard it. I would certainly call and speak to an operator. they told me in my case that the two departments, the one that reviews and the one that recieves pacakges, are not the same and that is how this DS230 is so common. my DS-230 RFE was false and the operators told me to ignore it. However, the AVR message did not change in my case until the processing was complete. I told the operators to remove that message since they confimed they had the IV package that had nto been opened or reviewed, but they did not . a week later i made a request again and she told me they could not change it. LOL:)

so, once you know it is false, ignore it and wait for the good news.
