Oooh, I hope it all works out Beth. You deserve it! :) And I will sing to you in french. :D

If you don't mind refreshing my memory, how did you and your husband meet? :)

I want mushy story time...=D

Another note; I hope my hubbie got his letter of employment today. :D

Went trollin in a webiste found a nice , innocent, youger man to currupt. Told him to sign on dotted line, and boom we were married.

Just kidding: But we did meet on internet, he kept sending winks at me, then after 12 or so, he wrote, are you stuck up?

From there on, we have not missed a day together.

By the way, this was 2 years and 10 months ago!!!!! He is the best thing ever to happen to me in my life and versa visa.

We are now one!!!!

Well, you had me going on the trolling bit. :P

I met my husband back in late 2004, early 2005 on a game called Ragnarok Online. I used to be like...a very complusive.. PKer (player killer) and I killed him repeatedly just because I could. :3 He kept making sad faces at me, and then I was, ''FINEEE.'' And then, we'd been friends since that day...and here's the thing, even though I had a crush on him, I never thought he'd be from another country mainly because the server we played was Canadian and the majority of the people who played it...were Canadian. So in 2006, I remember him saying, ''it's so fcking hot.'' So my response is, ''how so? Where do you live anyway? XD!'' (After like being friends for almost 2 years. -_- ) Then he said Las Vegas. My heart was crushed. :crying: But it all worked out anyway.

I like that story, when I met my husband, and gave into all the winks he sent me, I was not even considering a relatationship, we have been best friends since then. he is my everything.

Truly happy!!!

New life, new adventures, and a new attitude.

Behind every great relationship and love, is a story. And I love hearing about all of them, it goes to show how love can happen in a dozen of different ways. I used to be such a hopeless romantic. I still am, but settled down immensely.

We got approved (for both the I130 & the I129f) back in February, but we were doing the K3 visa. He had his interview for the I129f in April and got put in Ap and since the interview we haven't heard anything so now I am beginning the process at NVC for the IR 1 instead. I just began getting everything together and paid the $70.00 fee in August. Hope there are some people out there with some guidance regarding this process. I have posted a few things, but for some reason nobody seems to be applying to my questions soooooo here I am looking for some sort of support. Thanks

Have you been calling on his AP?

I too applied for a K3 but got caught up in AP at the NVC, so I followed the CR-1 instead, and NVC just got final packet this am. Keep going with the CR1, next up for you sending the AOA packet, once your Ds-3032 is accetped , NV will send you the IV bill, pay it, once its accepted, send in the IV packet, then wait for NVC to complete your case. Have you checked out the short cuts for NVC? if not, its a must do!

We are all here and happy to help you.

Yes, I've downloaded the short cuts off vj and have been following them so far. It can be a bit confusing though. I have paid the 70.00 fee and emailed the ds-3032 last week and am waiting for nvc to accept it. I'm not really sure if they will accept it via email, but I thought I would give it a shot. I scanned and emailed all the documents my husband needs to have him fill out and sign, which he completed yesterday and got another police certificate. He has a friend who is visiting from Indiana and will be bringing the paperwork back with him to send to me once he returns in a few days. Does anyone know if I can get the original documents as a certified copy here in the U.S so I don't have to send the original marriage certificate and birth certificate. It kind of scares me sending that to them in case it gets lost, since that is our only copy. How long is the wait for an interview does anyone know?? Just looking for an average wait time nothing specific. Yes, I have been calling the DOS on a weekly basis to check the status of the Ap, but of course I get no new information and nobody ever answers the darn phone at the embassy in Nigeria. I've sent about 25 email's to the embassy and they've answered maybe two......awwww well such is life I guess. Thanks for answering me Beth.

You cant get them certified here in USA, you must go back to the office who issued your marriage cert and birth certs and request Certified copies "Im presumming you married overseas and also referring to his birth cert"

Yes bad idea to send a orignal of those mentioned.

I plan to update the LingChe shortcuts during some time off coming up. (if I can gain access) This is the most important update.

First of all congrats on your case complete at NVC. that was really fast.

I think somehow i got stuck becasue of the workload NVC recieved during August, even thought all my packages and files reached them On August 3rd. Anyhow ...

Second, I applaud your previous work on fixing Lingche shortcut and this thought above as well. I went through this exact experience back on July 17th, and posted on the VJ as much as I could warning VJers that " the moment you get NVC case number call them and give your email address, dont wait." Me not calling NVC and not knowing what to do as well , I lost 5 days in the process. However, it would be nice if we can have it on the shortcut.

One more thing to add on the document may be about children of USC and the Child Citizenship act of 2000 ; and that such biological or adopted child does not need I-864; that they are exempt from AOS and the petitioner should file I-864W for each such child instead.

Thanks for your hard work. I wonder if you want to post your version of the shortcut here so that everyone can review and add missing information or experieces on it.

:):)
