alright, another quiry pls... any opinion welcome... Here's d sitch: for my i864- i only have 2008 tax transcript cuz i didnt work prior yrs. Only made 4k or so. this yr my current annual income is more than 45k. Im working for a very good laboratory. now, how do u think i stand on d whole aos thing? anyone think nvc will advice me to get a co sponsor for my husband? blush:

You need a co-sponsor. Its last year income is what they re looking at , not the present year income.

Hello Paris, I just was interested on where exactly does it say they base last years income cause mine unfortunately will be significantly different due to living in Senegal with my husband for the last 6 months. I am now concerned, but I also called NVC and asked their customer service and I can only pray that they knew what they were talking about, The gentlemen related that they are looking at my current year income and that if I submitted a letter of explanation as to why it changed should be suffice. However now that I read your reply has made me concerned . Thanks in advance and congrats on your speedy journey in NVC so far.

Sweetie, I have read and read, NVC, and here on VJ and always came up with the same thing, the Petitioner is to submit last years tax return 2008. So If I was you, submit your last years return and also sumbit what the NVC told you to do also.

Also,it may help if you also enclose maybe the other past 3 returns, oh you can also just use IRS tax transcripts.

Let me know if I can help you more, I will be glad to Hon.

All the best,

Beth

Truly happy!!!

New life, new adventures, and a new attitude.

This should be correct, I've gone to other sources as well, and they've all said, THIS YEAR. As in current. But my husband, did this years current income, with a letter of employment, etc and a letter as to why he earned next to nothing next year. I'll be your experimental person.

I was told by an operator that they require them, kind of as proof to see if you're making the same amount of income consistently. Basically, they don't want you to make 125% above the poverty line the year that you petition and then once they're there, you'll make like -125%. That makes sense to me.

Random note: My husband just...signed on for another couple of years. The army has him until 2015...*cries*

Well, my family was CDN military. My mom was always doing the same thing too. Is it true though, that military wives play a big part in the USA? I found that wasn't the case here. But my mother in law tells me otherwise. And yes, I was liek,WHY DUJKDSADNKASD. But he's probably going to stay in until he retires since well, the army life is for him. He was made for it. Just got an e-mail saying my IV bill is ready, even though...well, we've been able to pay it for a few days now. I'm FINALLY going to get my police certificate on friday.

And just to be sure, and I've asked like 90381238012 times.

With the originals I send in the IV package, I should also send photocopies too right? What do they want photocopies off? The ENTIRE package including the DS-230 or just like, my birth certificate, marriage certificate, etc?

i made a photocopy of everything but not the ds-230 but i do recommend you be paranoid and neurotic like me (LOL!) and photocopy all of that for your own records and if in case NVC loses your stuff! always good to have backups no matter what! good luck!

Timeline:

Sent in I-130 form: 01/29/09

Interview Date: 11/08/09 (APPROVED!)

Visa in Hand: 11/12/09

POE: 01/30/10 (!!!!) at JFK Airport in NYC... can't wait!

Got the green card maybe 8 weeks after 01/30/10...

TBC....

Good morning all,

I logged in to the site last week after sending the AOS and the Choice of Agent and had the ability to pay the IV bill. When I did so, it showed IN PROCESS. Yesterday, I received a confirmation email saying that they've received the Choice of Agent and that I need to pay the IV bill. I logged into the website, and I have a status of NOT PAID beside the IV bill, but when I click on Receipt Page, it says IN PROCESS. I'm confused. What do you think I should do?

Thanks,

--Abdul
