Hey just out of curiosity...

what's the dif between a I 864EZ and a I 864?

Thanks... just like to known, you know?

:)

LOL!!!!!!!!! I was JUST going to ask the SAME thing....great minds think alike :P . Thanks LGG for asking!

I-864 is shorter, can only be used if sponsoring 1 person immigrating, and that your using only YOUR earned income and not needing a Co Sponsor.

Truly happy!!!

New life, new adventures, and a new attitude.

Hmmm, my husband (USC) is just sponsoring me and just used income, no assets or anything. We just did the regular old I 184...

Gonna assume that that is a-okay...

I'm doing NVC in August. Talked to them yesterday and learned that they schedule interviews with the overseas Consulate the second week of every month for the next month provided the Consulate has capacity. The way it was explained to me, if your case if approved on August 25 for instance, you will fall in the mid-September interview scheduling process and they will attempt to schedule an October interview for you. If the Consulate is overloaded for October, you miss that boat and then fall in the mid-October interview scheduling process for a Novermber interview. Anyone heard this before? Almost makes me want to go ahead with K-3 (which really has no NVC involvement) and do an AOS later.

Hey Mohan...

Well we had a false RFE last week and now the AVR says that we've sent the checklist which was the DS230 and it is under review please allow 6-8 weeks. So... they have all our documents now.

I got a bit of a surprise yesterday when I got an email from NVC saying that both our bills have been paid and we are free to send our documents and they also enclosed the instruction packet. Um, okay... about 3 weeks too late there.

BUT, i do almost hate seeing those NVC emails in my inbox because I automatically think oh #######, an RFE!!!!

So yeah, let's consider ourselves August filers too as we're a lonely bunch for July.

Are you sponsring that child as well. If you are , and she is approved. then NVC will want to see a Notarized letter from her biogical mother that she does nto have problem in her child immigrating to US with child's father.

i wonder if i replied one step ahead.

May be others have more suggestions.

I'm "kinda" doing NVC in August; still waiting for my #... and then, I think we'll file electronically directly with the consulate to save on cost and delays - I still have to read about the "hows", but I know it's feasible in Montreal.

Hi La Souris, Ive started by printing the short cuts for NVC, I have my tax returns in order, the employment letter, the I-864EZ form filled out, I have the DS0230 and the DS-3032 already signed by hubby, all our docs for NVC ready, I just need his 4 passport photos, also have the police certs, and his birth cert all translated. So we just need out NVC number and we are off full steam again, UGH!!!

note

Translation only needed if document not French or not English
