Hi La Souris, Ive started by printing the short cuts for NVC, I have my tax returns in order, the employment letter, the I-864EZ form filled out, I have the DS0230 and the DS-3032 already signed by hubby, all our docs for NVC ready, I just need his 4 passport photos, also have the police certs, and his birth cert all translated. So we just need out NVC number and we are off full steam again, UGH!!!

dear,

My 130 got approved August 7, received via mail August 14.

I am hoping the NVC case # will be assigned the week of August 24-28 sometime

I expect to receive DS 3032 and AOS bill early September.

Like you, I have printed my AOS and filled it out, employement letter is ready, tax records ready.

Like you, I have printed latest DS 230 and sent it to my wife in India for her signature. I should get it back in 2 weeks.

We have all the original cerificates ready (my BC, her BC, our MC)...do we need anything else?

The only thing we have yet to have is Police Clearance. I have already asked my wife to gather documents and work on getting the Police Clearance as soon as possible - becaust it takes about 3 to 4 weeks to get one in INDIA.

Is there any timeline requirement on the Police Clearance - I mean how recent it has to be - for example does it have to be signed within last 30 days at the time you send it to NVC along with your DS 230 and certificates?

Your help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Rajen

Good question, I've been wondering the same thing. I could not find a website at NVC to see the case status, but I saw many postings where people mentioned that they could not log in to check the status when the case was about to be completed. Hopefully somebody will let us know if there is such a site.

I found this in a post: "Most of the ppl check their status on the AOS and IV Bill payment page, here: https://ceac.state.gov/CTRAC/Invoice/signon.aspx

If you are doing CR-1 and when you try to log in, and your log in fails, and you get a message like this:

Sign In Failed

* Please be advised that the case that you have attempted to access is not eligible for further processing by the National Visa Center at this time. Please click on the Contact the NVC hyperlink if you believe that you have received this message in error.

then it means your case has been complete at NVC.
