I think its time to update the wiki pages! They are horribly out of date. Its not clear if the scanned DS-3032 should be emailed as an attachment or if the text template is good enough.

Other updates needed:

  1. Take out the part about asking an operator for Invoice number
  2. Stress how important it is to call an operator and give emails the day your case goes online

Exactly!!

Yeah, I wish someone would update....that would be great. Can any Tom, ####### or Harry to it?? Someone who has already experienced the NVC. Hmm....who will it be? :)

OK, we have just received our NVC case number. Our NOA2 was August 3. I called AVR, and we weren't in the system yet. Then I called an operator, and she paused a long time after I gave her our USCIS receipt number. She asked for our names and birthdates, and then gave me our case number. She said we were literally being entered into the system as we were speaking. I thanked her. I got off the phone and did a little dance. Then I texted my wife to tell her the news. Then I called the AVR again. We're still not in that system. Just talk to an operator when you call. They don't mind, that's what they are there for, and you'll get your information faster. I'm so happy now I'm crying, thank you God, and everyone on here who are always helping.

It takes 8 months for us to see each other back again since we started our visa process, and now here we are reunited back again and happy together.

Same! I just called and talked with an operator. She gave me the case # but was unable to update our file with email addresses because it had not completely been manually entered into the system. She said to call back next week. I'm excited! It's there! They have it!

They won't give you the invoice number now? I'm confused.

Just figured out with LingChe's NVC shortcuts that my file was one of many scanned into the system today. No way of knowing how many but anyway....

Our I-129F is still at USCIS, so unless it is approved soon, we will probably go the IR-1/CR-1 route. Congratulations on getting your NVC case numbers! They got a lot of cases at once from USCIS, because according to our case number, we were the 154th case scanned in on Thursday.

I called late last night, nothing showed, then this am there it was. Give the I-129F a bit more time, maybe a week, I bet it gets approved soon. Mine did 2 days after USCIS approved my I-130. I need to call NVC Monday and give them our emails.
