Has anyone contacted NVC to get their case number? Is it too soon to call? They sent my paperwork August 6th.

Likely too early, but some people get their numbers faster. Doesn't hurt to check it. The phone call should be less than 5 minutes.

Ive called, no luck in NVC case number. USCIS has NOT been sending approval to NVC on a regular basics anymore, dont know why, heard once cause they dont have enough approvals. :ranting::protest: Give it atleast 2 weeks before expecting your NVC case numbers. UGH!!! More waiting. :ranting:

I called as well and they said wait 2 weeks :/

Also I justed checked my cases online, the I-130 was touched yesterday and today, I think they are forwarding to the NVC today. Ive seen this before of touches after approvals. So check on line with USCIS.

Mine was touched yesterday after the approval but not today

From a bit of reaearch I did on approval dates, I think USCIS sends 2 packets to NVC each week

Fridays is for sure one of the days, the other I think is Tuesday, so us approved last week should have case number next week or early the following week.

For the 10 pound notebook of evidence I sent them, that there should take up a whole DHL overnight package to NVC.:rofl: Keep faith all, we made it out of USCIS.:yes::D:dance:

Yeah, they can be pretty bad...I just got a second RFE for something that was already sent to them...I so hoped to be done early August but it seems like I am still really doing NVC in August...On the good note though, NVC has the right to issue only 2 RFE and then they have to forward the case to the consulate no matter what, as long as affidavit of support and DS230 are in the package...

frustrating...

I truly hope you are right about this....I was approved on the 30th of July and still nothing. It's been two weeks. Argh....I wanna scream!

Mine was approved the 31st. Tomorrow will be two weeks and still no NVC number either. Can and/or will a CIS officer tell you when/if it was sent?

I 864 question...

I didn't file taxes for 2008. I am a volunteer missionary and didn't recieve any wages in 2008 only was supplied room and board.

I filed in 2006 & 2007 and have transcripts. I have a joint sponsor already so I'm not worried about meeting the requirements.

But I am a bit confused on what how to fill out the I864. Suggestions on how to answer Questions #25?

Also, will I need a letter from the organization that I worked for last year to say I worked for them without pay?

Hello to all...

Has anyone with an August NOA2 gotten an NVC case number yet? It seems there are some late July NOA2's who have gotten their numbers, but no one from August yet. Our NOA2 came by email on August 3. I call the operator line every day here in the afternoon, but still our case has not been scanned there and us given an NVC Case Number. Anyone there with an August approval date who has received an NVC case number, or an Immigration ID Number? I think they are backlogged with a lot of cases right now. Any August approvals gotten any word there yet?

It takes 8 months for us to see each other back again since we started our visa process, and now here we are reunited back again and happy together.
