Hi,

We are planning on having a ceremonial wedding in the Dominican Rep. in June 2010. Will receiving Advance Parole after getting married in the US allow me to do this safely?

Yes. Once you have the AP, you can travel outside of the usa; the ap allows you to re entry the country. Of course, the entrance is not guaranteed, but most people on here report they go back and forth, my wife included; she got her ap and has been out of the country twice without any problems.

Congrats on your NOA2! Depending on when your entry into the USA is and when you file for AOS, at the current rate some people have received GC's within 6 months, some even shorter, so you may not even have to worry about AP if your AOS was filed by beginning of next year.

Yes others have reported the ability to travel with AP, but again it is supposed to be for emergency travel and there is no guarantee CBP will authorize your entry back into the USA. (Worst case scenario).

Are you planning to get a wedding package or are you doing this for yourself. You have to bring a bunch of documents from your country legalize in the Dominican consulate in your country before you can marry here.
