90 days? i had my biometric last July 15, still waiting for EAD and my interview will be on Sept 10...mean to say applying EAD is useless?

Useless is kind of a relative term - it could be. We got our PR/Green Card about 3 weeks after the EAD - but you never know this going in, some folks wait a long time to get the PR/Green Card so for them, it is more valuable.

you need your EAD to get a SS#, but you can ask if your state will accept a letter from the social security admin saying you arent eligible for a ss card and use that to get a drivers liscence.

"you fondle my trigger then you blame my gun"

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!
