I read a breaking story on it and didn't fully read your OP with details about his avowed online hatefest for women. Sounds like this guy was a timebomb and if he had a woman he would been enraged by something else as an excuse for his violent leanings.

I think its more that offering up crazy hypothetical examples for the purposes of a laugh seems rather cheap, given the context and considering what the original statement was objecting to.
