K3, depending upon what vaccines he has had will dictate what they require.

He is ok, but they said the girls were ok for school purpose, but not for traveling to the states

Did they go for medical already? Just get the shots when they go for medical and get it out of the way... Each country has a list of required vaccines to travel to the US... If they dont have the shot.. they dont get the visa....

yes they went yesterday.. that's when they were told that. The medical office is allowing them to come back today to fisnish the shots, but my husband was saying it is costing $ 437.00 us for the shots.. so that's why we want to make sure they are needed.

Officially a "K" visa has NO vaccination requirement...

YMMV

I just checked and there are no vaccinations required for any visa or travel from Jamaica to US unless They are going through an infected country to get here... they likely just want the cash from you...

K-3 & K-4 requirements (or lack thereof) are the same

http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/ty...types_2993.html

Applying for a Visa

The embassy or consulate where you, the spouse of an American citizen, will apply for a K-3 visa must be in the country where your marriage took place. Here are the procedures to apply. The embassy or consulate will let you know any additional things to do, such as where you need to go for the required medical examination. During the interview process, an ink-free, digital fingerprint scan will be taken. Some visa applications require further administrative processing, which takes additional time after the visa applicant’s interview by a Consular Officer. The following is required:

Two copies of form DS-156, Nonimmigrant Visa Application

One DS-156K, Nonimmigrant Fiancé(e) Visa Application form

Police certificates from all places lived in since the age of 16

Birth certificates

Marriage certificate for spouse

Death and divorce certificates from any previous spouses

Medical examination (except vaccinations)

A passport valid for travel to the United States and with a validity date at least six months beyond the applicant's intended period of stay in the United States (unless country-specific agreements provide exemptions).

Two nonimmigrant visa photos, two inches/50 X 50 mm square, showing full face, against a light background)

Proof of financial support (Form I-134 Affidavit of Support may be requested.)

Payment of fees, as explained below

YMMV

Q : Who is required to be vaccinated and when?

Who is required to be vaccinated and when?

Adjustment of status applicants and immigrant visa applicants when applying for adjustment of status in the United States or for an immigrant visa at a U.S. Consular post abroad.

K and V nonimmigrant (temporary visa applicants) when applying for adjustment of status. They do not need to comply with vaccination requirements when applying for the K or V visa.

Refugeeadjustment applicants must complete vaccination assessment in conjunction with adjustment application. Refugees may contact the state refugee health coordinator or local refugee resettlement agency to find out if it is possible to have the vaccination supplement completed by state or local health departments.

Asylee adjustment applicants must complete the vaccination assessment in conjunction with the adjustment of status application.

YMMV
