Go to your local SSA office and apply for your SSN, you should have it within 2 weeks.

I'm seeing that rarely does the SSN number come. Go to your SSN office with your green card, I got mine is 5 days after I applied

dude we didnt even get the welcome letter.we got nothing ever since we have landed except for green cards

Well, fortunately you got the green cards - they are the most important ones. Yes, go to the SSA office and apply. Here is the link to their website. They have an option where you can find the office for your area, and will also tell you what documents you need to take with you.
