Hi all,

I would like to ask if it is okay to travel back to the Philippines for a vacation

even if my Philippine passport is not amended yet to my married name?

My passport will expire year 2012. Is there gonna be a problem with my

exit and entry back here in the USA or to and from the Philippines?

Can anyone with the same situation share their experience?

Your help and response on this matter will be highly appreciated. Thank

you so much.

July 9, 2008 - AOS transferred to CA

July 28, 2008 - AOS approved

Aug. 5, 2008 - GC received

my mom travels to the philippines every year using her old passport. she always brings her greencard and marriage certificate with her and everything was fine. :-D

K-1 Visa Application:

June 30, 2005- Sent I-129F

July 12, 2005- Processing Date

September 16, 2005- I-129F Approval Notice

September 29, 2005- Approval Notice sent to US Embassy in the Philippines

January 26, 2006- US Embassy sent Medical and Visa Appointment dates

March 2, 2006- Medical Appointment

March 9, 2006- Visa Interview

March 21, 2006- Visa received

March 24, 2006- Attended CFO Seminar in Q.C.

March 28, 2006- Flight to the USA

Marriage:

May 1, 2006- Applied for Marriage License

May 20, 2006- Got married in Chandler, Arizona

I-485/I-765 Applications:

July 24, 2006- I-485/I-765 sent to USCIS

July 31, 2006- Processing Date

August 2, 2006- USCIS sent a Biometrics Appointment Letter

August 8, 2006- USCIS sent an Appointment for AOS

August 16, 2006- Biometrics Appointment

October 3, 2006- AOS Interview(Los Angeles District Office)

October 10, 2006- Received Welcome Notice, Employment Authorization Card

October 18, 2006- Greencard received

I-751 Application:

August 29, 2008 - I-751 sent to USCIS

September 2, 2008 - Processing Date

January 2, 2009 - Biometrics 1

April 6, 2009 - Biometrics 2

April 7, 2009 - Biometrics 3 (never ending)

April 22, 2009 - Received Approval Letter

June 16, 2009 - Greencard received

Hi all,

You need to go to the Philippine Counsulate that serves your area, and get a "One and the Same Person" affadavit. Or, you can do a report of marriage, and have your passport amended at the same place.

Bring your marriage certificate because they will ask you why your passport is not amended. The officer in Philippines asked me and in Japan then I explained and showed my marriage certificate.

09/28/08-green card received

1-751

07/02/10-mailed it 2day

07/06/10-they received my application forms

07/13/10-received notice receipt(gc extended for one year)

07/28/10-received biometric appointment

09/23/10 GC approved!!!

9/26/20 Gota pproval notice

10/01/10 GC receivedd

yes it dont take much to get your passport amended either just go to nearest philippine consulate or i also think there is a mail service to amended it also is your green card married name or maden name
