Hello all. I need help. My wife and I have finally received approval notice for both k3 and cr1. We have read over and over again that it much more beneficial to drop the k3. Our problem is, I am schedule to take an exam in the US which the date would expire if I cancel k3 and waited for cr1. My question is what happens to the cr1 interview f i go with k3. I mean can i accept the k3 and later on go back to consulate for cr1. I have read somewhere that few people go back to consulate..... I am trying to avoid AOS..sounds so complicated.Any information that will clarify this matter is highly appreciated...thanks

Nothing beats CR1. The process is quite longer and jiggy but its worth the wait. It'll save you up a thousand bucks for the AOS when your proceed the either way. Good luck!

I am the one who got K3 visa this march and then came back to my country for my CR-1 visa- and it wasnt complicated, and at my second interview the consul wasnt surprised that i came back to get my CR-1. Good luck!!!
