Hi at all:

How many of his birth certificates has my husband to turn in with the whole AOS package (includes travel docu, EAD, affidavit of support)??? He said 3, but I'm not too sure. His mom needs to get the certified copies and they are not exactly cheap - anybody here who knows the answer?

But seriously. The US Citizen doesn't need any. Just have the USC take his birth certificate to the interview.

Thanks guys...

Well, my hubbie insists that he needs to attach one to the AOS and one to the support thingie as proof of his citizenship. I didn't read it, but he is dead sure. Didn't he read it properly or is he mislead by some weirdo-descriptions (I mean all the docs come with a instruction with is seriously badly written)....

i included it just in case because i wasn't 100% sure at the time. its not mentioned on the I-485 forms. in any event, i think a regular photocopy would be okay. they can ask to see originals or whatever else at your interview. good luck! :thumbs:

Read the I-485 instructions. It's not there. If you want to send one... fine. Just send a plain copy if you do though.
