I have to say my Wife Nan is very very very jealous of me being around other ladies. I asking nan if she don't trust me, she always say she don't trust the other ladies in Thailand. One day her sister came out of the bath room from just taking a shower with nothing on but a towel. She start to talk to her cousin in the room at the time. I guess I look to long because when I turned and look at Nan I could tell she was mad as hell.

On the subject of jealousy I have had some experience.

Jealousy in and of itself isn't always bad, but there are bad things to watch for.

Of the 3 long time committed relationships I have had with Asian women,

I have never done anything (at least not consciously) that would be considered

to make my SO jealous. That means I have not cheated on them. OK if you want

to call going to Thailand when I was still married 4 times cheating, but I don't

consider that as such because the marriage was long over before those trips and

my activities in Thailand were not questioned. No eyebrows raised even. A woman

who loves her man is likely to be jealous (at least a little bit) of other women as

well as of what may be construed as "questionable" flirting by the man. Even though

you didn't do anything worthy of jealousy, just by the fact that you LOOK or pay

attention somewhere else for a microsecond, you might be in for some serious punishment.

My first Japanese girlfriend (7 years together in the same apartment, never cheated)

was extremely jealous, but her jealousy/anger was quick, violent and SHORT LIVED.

She FORGOT her jealousy very quickly (I pretty much knew it was mostly an act, designed

to keep me in line), but the affection and love that she showered me with more than made

up for the show of jealousy, which wasn't really warranted. I think she knew that. When we

broke up there were other issues, ones that weren't earth shattering but were enough

to make us go our separate ways, still very much friends.

My Japanese ex wife wouldn't know romantic love if it bit her on the behind. With 20-20 hindsight

I may have questioned her motives for marrying, but apparently they had nothing to do with me.

Also with hindsight the marriage was a green card scam + kids. Love had nothing to do with it.

I was looking for love in all the wrong places and that particular place was marriage.

If sometimes I came home late, she would get very angry but that anger didn't have a hint of

jealousy. The kids were driving her crazy because she had a short temper and was poor at discipline.

This was anger without jealousy and anger that had no end, no matter how trivial the excuse.

My Thai fiancée is different from both but is closer to the first. She warns in a playful (but serious)

way that if I cheat on her, she will be gone and our relationship will be over. Despite that, she has

shown time and time again that she trusts me and for that reason I never even think of cheating.

Some men (and women) cheat because #1 they have the opportunity and #2 because the spiteful

aspect of it (getting back at someone who unjustly accused you) makes them feel good.

She is capable of anger, but handles it better than my first Japanese girlfriend and MUCH BETTER

than my ex wife. She knows how much anger I can tolerate and she also knows well enough that

she doesn't want to punish someone she loves to no end. We communicate much better and we

can read each other much better. Those skills can't be taught, they are just a measure of compatibility

which we were lucky to develop over time by exchanging ideas and finding shared values.

An example of how she trusts me - Sometimes I want to go to various tourist destinations during the

day, and she would rather sleep and relax in the hotel. I can take the motorbike out for a few hours

and if we are on an island I may ride all around the island with no restrictions (except NOT to go

anywhere where massage is offered). I'll tell her approximately when I will return and she doesn't

keep me to the minute and second that I promised. I'll have a pleasant ride, I'll take lots of pics,

I might even wave back at a woman who waves to me (but I won't stop to talk to her). It would

be very easy to step outside those boundaries, but I don't mind keeping within them because

the love and dedication she shows to me 24/7 makes being faithful to her no problem at all.

Past relationships - many women (and men) are curious about their SO's past.

If all you talk about are the failures, he or she may begin to think that YOU may

be the reason the past relationships failed. I think it's good also to discuss

successful relationships, because through them you both learn how a couple

can co-exist without killing each other.

I would not say jealous.. but I would say posessive... "My Husband" her fav saying... Just as has been said.. not worried about me straying.. its about those other women wanting me... Ya right.. Like I am some Brad Pitt... I must admit its a great feeling to be looked at as a prize of some sort.. I feel the same way about her so I dont think its out of line for her to feel that way.

Fond memories of the Mrs. yelling: "Macho de mierda!"

:bonk: for looking at her sister in towel only! Sheesh! show a little respect man! Of course she's mad! Either she is jealous (sibling rivalry and all) or she feels like you are not respecting her sister. I'm inclined to think it's the 2nd reasoning.

3 reasons to not p!ss off your Asian Bride.....

Hanoi - Police in southern Vietnam are investigating a case where a man had his ####### chopped in half by his wife when he was sleeping, officials said Wednesday. The man, identified as BT Hai, 44, was admitted to hospital early Sunday with half of his ####### having been cut off, according to Pham Quoc Viet, a local policeman.

Police said Hai's wife was angry, suspecting that he had a mistress, and cut off his member with a 20-centimetre knife, throwing the severed piece into a drainage ditch near their house in Ca Mau, a Mekong Delta province 350 kilometers south-west of Ho Chi Minh City.

"He was bleeding badly when admitted to the hospital, but he is in stable condition now," said Dr Huynh Truong Son of Ca Mau General Hosptial

"His friends found the piece and brought it to the hospital four hours later, but we decided not to conduct an operation to rejoin it because the piece was dirty with mud and had not been properly preserved," Son said.

Son said Hai will be discharged from the hospital in a few days and that the remaining part of his ####### will still function.

Hai's wife has not been arrested, but she may face charges of deliberately injuring other people, which carries a prison sentence

And yes there are others...Man castrated during sleep by wife, recovering

A man in southern Vietnam has had surgery to reattach his ####### which was cut off by his wife following a quarrel for the second time.

The 27-year-old man, name withheld, was rushed to a hospital in An Giang province last Saturday after his family found his sex organ had been severed by his wife while he was sleeping.

He was then transferred to Can Tho city where doctors succeeded in rejoining the #######.

They said he was recovering.

Amazingly, this was the second time his wife did it after once castrating him two years ago.

His family said both incidents were caused by quarrels between the couple.

It was also the second such incident for the Can Tho Central General Hospital this year, its staff said.

of three years, the policeman said.

Woman sentenced for cutting off husband's #######

A pregnant woman in Vietnam was given a 20-month suspended sentence for cutting off the ####### of her philandering husband after he threatened to divorce her.

The Dalat People's Court in Lam Dong province handed down the sentence to Nguyen Thi Thu H, last week after finding her guilty of taking a pair of scissors to her husband's genitalia, a court clerk said.

Nguyen, 31, told the court that she attacked her husband, a 38-year-old pediatrician, on April 28 when he slapped her after she refused to buy him more wine and then threatened to divorce her.

Nguyen, whose full name was withheld by the court, said that because his sexual lust for other women was the cause of all her sufferings she decided to sever his ####### while he was lying drunk in bed.

It was she, however, who took him to hospital when she saw how badly he was bleeding as a result of her actions.

The clerk said the court had given her a suspended sentence because she had shown remorse and was seven months' pregnant.
