:(:(:( After all the time and money spent to get my wife a K3 visa, the Embassy in Manila sends her a visa with my last name spelled wrong. I call and they tell me, we are sorry for that, just have your wife come back to the Embassy and do a walk-in from 1000am to 1200 at window 33 or 34. Thats fine, but who is going to pay for my wife to fly to Manila and do all this just because someone at the Embassy can not do there freaking job right the first time. This just makes me so mad.

Greetings!

Wow! though this is not related to the Emabssy itself but i had same problem dealing with the same situtation....Before my interview date i asked way in advance for clearance from the countries where i stayed for more than 6 months.....O ne of the country required me to have my fingerprint taken officially from NBI and have all papers attach along wih the proof of the official who took my prints.....i repeatedly told them that this one is for internatina lpurposed etc....so i flew to manila and have it authenticated at DFA foreign affiars waited for a 4 days till its realeased then head my way to Malacanang for final authtnetication.....guess what? they did not authenticate it and told me to go back to NBI and asked for a three signatures proving that he is an official from that office....WOW! i got so mad, why? i not ony wasted my time in al ong queue to be entertained but worst part of it is that i paid the trip only to find out that it lacks signature from an offical who is supposed to know about the process....

SO, i flew back again and went to NBI and i took al etter from that office...and the person just told me , im so sorry..i forgot that is it for other countries and failed to attach some documents along with my signature.. i answered him" you know what i just wished that you have the idea of how far i went not to mention the fare" only to be sent back here....so after that i went back immediately paid two way tickeyt again...

note: the authentication is DFA office then in Malacanag office is only 100+ 50 pesos.. only the fare is expensive as i am from Cebu City.

correction:

some typos...

The authentication fee at the DFA foreign affiars office is only 100 pesos and at Malacanang office is only 50 pesos but its the waste of time, the long queue and the fare and accommodation in Manila.

Wow, I am so sorry to hear that. I understand the cost of immigrating and it's enough already without having to spend an extra couple hundred at their mistakes.

When she goes for the walkin will they issue her new visa that day? I wouldn't get it mailed again if you can help it. I stayed an extra day in Montreal waiting for my K3 visa because I was nervous something like that might happen.

Good luck to you
