Medical at St Lukes

Hi......My fiancee lives in Cebu City...of course the medical exam is at St Lukes in Manila....I was wondering if it would be better if she waited until a few days before the interview to get her exam done. It is costly to fly back and forth...once for interview and once for medical...so I was wondering if she could do both in same visit to Manila? Or would it create some problem at the interview because it was not done weeks before?

I will be going for the interview, but I can not go for both, unless it was done at the same time/visit. Any ideas, or help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

We are getting closer....

A 3 day leeway might suffice. But then, I think a 3 night stay at a hotel in Manila could be more costly than a round trip airfare from Cebu.

hi, i think the medical is a week before the interview thats what the operator told me when i received my appointment. Well, she can stay there because medical exam takes two days, and if you want her to stay there week straight, let her attend the cfo seminar while waiting for her interview to make all those three transactions there in manila. So, she can do here medical for two days, she must come there sunday then by monday she will go to st. luke, then after two days she must attend the CFO seminar that is only for one day seminar, then she can have her interview. and when the consul approved her for visa then she can wait at home i mean in cebu and there she can stamp her visa for the sticker there in cebu which is needed before departure. what do you think? and if you want to find a cheaper place to stay here in manila i can recommend you at Natividad Pension house, its a nice place, clean and peaceful. :) Think about it.

You may see in my timeline that I did my medical 3-4 days before my USEM interview.

Though St. Lukes suggests that the medical be done a week before the USEM interview to avoid certain cases that may arouse like sputum test or having the monthly cycle.

Anyhow, if your medical is within the week of the medical, St. Lukes makes you're case a priority to be done before the interview.

I even stayed until 1AM for my medical at St Luke's to be finished.

It was stressful though.. Hehehehe

I am not advising you to do the same thing that I did. It's really up to you if you would risk.

Good Luck! By the way, I'm from Cebu City too.. =D

Yes, it is required to attend seminar at CFO plus you have to get your passport stamped/sticker once the visa arrived. The beneficiary can not leave PH without that sticker.

I was also from Cebu. I stayed in Manila for a week, doing my medical and interview. Luckily, I had a friend who lived there, so the lodging was free. Does she know anyone in Manila? That will save a lot of bucks than staying in a hotel or pension house.

I had my CFO seminar in Cebu when I had my visa in hand. It's only for a day. She can do it too, that way she does not have to go back to get her visa stamped with CFO sticker if she does it prior to the issuance of her visa.

Good luck!

I really appreciate all the feed back, No, she does not have any relatives or friends in Manila, and we were talking about a pensions house for her to stay, she did that before a few years ago when she went to work in Taiwan. You know it is not the money so much, do not get me wrong, this process is testing the old wallet, ha ha ha, but I actually care about her, she is a little nervous about traveling back and forth since she does not know Manila.

The CFO seminar can be conducted in Cebu??? where does she go or who does she contact to be able to get that done? If understand what you saying, if she gets it done before the interview, then she can get the stamp when she goes to the interview. Do I have that correct?

Thanks!!!!
