I don't mind that they close post office locations so long as they actually provide adequate staffing at the ones they retain.

Ever been to the main office behind Penn Station? Even at lunchtime "rush hour" they only have about 3 windows open.

Its fvcking nuts!

Yippee  Just wait until this same entity runs your healthcare.

It will be no different

Why would the USPS run the healthcare system?

That doesn't make any sense.

 Dont play dumb

The list is at http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/polit...st-offices.html

What I don't get is why Puerto Rico post offices are listed under the New York Metro section

Why do you hate Puerto Rican post offices?

I really do not hate St. Louis, but not sure why it's listed under the Great Lakes section.

Feel the computer is affecting the post office, use to make a trip every night before the internet took hold. If I could e-mail packages, probably wouldn't use them at all except for government agencies that always need signed documents. Hmmm, wonder if their is a conspiracy against us with governmental agencies?

No, I do not hate governmental agencies. NOT!!!

Wow - the one I know about that surprises me is the one at Hartsfield Jackson airport in Atlanta. It is the busiest airport in the world and the post office isn't much more than a one person operation. We've used that post office a number of times to mail items out before we fly out to visit someone. It is always busy. Interesting.

Is there another one nearby?

Nope I don't think there is one nearby. I know which one they are talking about at the airport, as I fly quite often for work.

Yeah, I don't know of any others nearby either unless there is one in Hapeville which is where the airport is located. Certainly, it wouldn't be as convenient. Oh well, guess we make sure we send out the mail before we travel from now on. (VBG)

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

Echo that! I'd rather drive farther and wait in a shorter line than go to the one around the corner with ONE open window.
