I'm curious to see how your cases went after a brief courtship? How long was it from the time you met until you got married? If you married in the Phils, did you file CR-1 and if so, how did that work out? If K-1, how long until you filed after a short period of time knowing each other and what were the results of that?

Well in my case I met my wife 2 days before I left Pampanga of which we spent together then, the next time I saw her was when we got married 7 months later. After that it took her 1 year before finally stepping foot in America and I did it all alone with no help except for the aid I got from this great site.

How quick did you marry/file K1?

It would be better if you will figured out first if the guy you meet is compatible to you, make sure he is honest showing of who he is. You should also be honest to him as well. pay attention, if you have in common, then some of the same interests, the two of you into having Family? how many child/children do you like? the two of you can live up or accept her/his chracters? and most importantly how do you handle the money, do you like to have a joint account? or do you prefer to have, each of you have your own bank acount? the last thing but not the least, do you both enjoy having sex? how often?

don't assume any of these that you can change her/him after marriage because it never will. and don't quick to marry. observe him/her. don't do the thing" first come first serve" style. be selective and don't convince her/him that she/he is the right one for you even if is NOT. :innocent:

read and pay attention others members here posted...asking how to divorce because they ignored the red flag when the first meeting or weeks of their meeting in person.

edit: lmao...the o.p. is a guy NOT a girl?

It don't take much time to determined compatibility between partners. After the second date, I assumes that you have sex already and you have make up your mind that she is the one for you and she also has make up her mind that you is for her. Some famous people get married after only a short cortshif. For example, Pres. Marcos married Imelda only after 7 days of knowing each other.

Pardon me, why is my English grammar broke now like you bulaklak?

Seriously, I don't have any idea if a brief courtship raises a red flag for imigration purposes. My husband and I have been sweethearts for almost ten years before he filed the I-129 petition last year. We are now married and living together in the Sonoran desert and we don't have any regrets.

If you think she is the one for you, go ahead and strike while the iron is hot!

 You caught the virus, Linda. It's always nice when someone's providing the amusement here in VJ. Ice breaker, for lack of a better word?

I am also assuming that after the second date and after you hopped in bed together, you will figure out if you are MFEO (meant for each other?)

Hokey Smoke!

Bullwinkle: "No, they are just confused."

From everything I've read, the process in the Philippines is pretty lenient compared to other countries. It appears that they are more concerned with the answers and honesty at the interview than they are with pages of hard evidence.

Hubby and I met on a dating site (which both of us has no idea that it was a dating site) a day after I registered to be a member.

Then we started off as friends since I wasn't looking for someone to date. After 3 months on being friends, he told me that he loved me and asked me to be his gf.

9 months after we met online, he made his 1st trip to PI. 3 months after meeting me, he filed for K1.

1 year and 7 months, I moved here in the US. 15 days upon my US rrival, we got hitched! :D:dance:

That is good for you girl,,,you're not like the other person here, she don't take much time to determined whether they are compatible or not, she just want to spread her legs for the first or 2nd meeting in person. so the guy mind will cloud, and decided to love her. and will petition her to come to US.... what a smart scammer.
