Make sure you verify your upgrade! Per my experience (at CSC), they do not accept upgrade requests via mail. They returned mine to me as "an inquiry that should be handled by the 800 number". Suggest you call the 800 number and Fax in the upgrade again.

02-27-09: Infopass. Attempted upgrade. Did not work. (found out later)

03-24-09: Timeline for USC I-130 begins. Faxed in Upgrade.

04-23-09: Infopass. Verified Upgrade. Never any official receipt.

06-23-09: Infopass. Check history. Nothing new.

Called VSC and spoke to customer service a few times before I was able to get my case upgraded. I mailed the upgrade request and called on July 10. Called about 3 more times before I was able to speak to a supervisor and finally reveived a letter from VSC stating that my case was upgraded on August 5th. Called a few more times and received a letter yesterday stating that my case is actively processing and that I should hear from them in about 3 mths. Waiting patiently....

Was thinking about filing for K3 but unsure. Any advise?

NO NO NO. Filing the K3 will delay your I-130 from being processed, cause they will pair it up, and your petitions will go to bottom of pile, filing a K3 will not speed up the I-130!!!! Trust me on this one!!!!

Truly happy!!!

New life, new adventures, and a new attitude.

I tought that once you filed the I-129F it becomes a separate petition and not being paired with the I-130 IR1 because even though you file for both of them they get approved at different times. And also if K3 is approved first you can still complete the IR1.

In what way will it delay my process.

I saw that you(Paris) are filing for K3 as well.

Because they "Pair" them up and will most likely process them when the I-129F comes due for processing.

YES, I filed for a K3 but not for a faster interview, we had special reasons we did it, most VJers know why and Im not getting into why again, turned out we did not have too, our I-130 was approved and we are now persueing the CR-1 visa with NVC and will interview for the CR-1.

Please if you file K3 you will delay yourself.
