We got our NOA 1 on 6th August. Our service center should be Vermont but got it from California. I was worried they'd sent it to the wrong place from the lockbox but I see this has happened to other people on here. Hopefully that's a good thing as CSC seems to go quicker. Either way it's gonna be a long slow painful process but worth it in the end.

Received NOA1 today! Although the date on it reads August 7, 2009. Now the waiting begins...

Yes, don't worry about it going to California. Ours was also mailed to the Vermont lock box, but ended up in California somehow. We just got out NOA2 on August 18th, so no worries afterall. Good luck to you and you'll see your NOA2 before you know it.

Best of luck to you too! Nope, no ankle biters on the way for us, not for a few years yet either! We are 22 and 23, need to get the rest of university out the way before we think of expanding our little family Our cat is our only child right now!

We're at the other end of the spectrum; family stuff all done & only thinking of future with each other.

We'll be living part of the year in Thailand after I retire (unless she has career aspirations that

make her want to stay in the US) and I've always wanted to visit Australia & NZ. I was thinking

of maybe a cruise from SE Asia to Australia, if they exist (maybe from Singapore?).

Like us (from 2003) you have a long history but it's far from over yet.

I know there are a lot of hurdles with the K-1 process but I feel a sense of relief at having got the

I-129F papers out the door finally.

I signed up for the automagic email notification on the USCIS website. So far, no touches at all. But we are only about 5-weeks in so far. From what I have read I'm not expecting anything until AT LEAST after the 8-10 week window. And that is if we are very lucky. I also expect that our application, running into the US holiday season (where there are many government holidays and people tend to take time off from work), is going to take longer than expected.

But......back to your original question, how did we meet: Online dating site. I knew what I wanted. She knew what she wanted. Neither of us were finding the kind of people we were happy with locally. In spreading out our search areas we finally ran into one another. It was like peanut butter and chocolate!

Great news though: it's looking like I get to go see my lady again in mid-October! Thought I was going to have to wait until all the paperwork was ready to see her again. Part of the great thing about living in the middle of the Pacific Ocean is that it is closer to travel between Singapore than to the East Coast of the US! So my business trip will take me far west rather than east!

Yeah, My fiance signed up for it also, but I just log in every day to check. We are going into the sixth week of waiting, so I am hoping for some touches to show up soon!!
