So I know I shouldve updated couple months ago...

but I didn't.... master procrastinator.

Anyways, hubby's conditional card was set to expire and they were past their processing times

and we couldn't get a infopass online... someone here advised us to go to the USCIS

office and get a infopass at the qiosk........and it worked!!

So on June 1st we found out that our case had been approved!!!

The lady told us it could take 6 mos for a greencard..#######?!?!?! but gave us a

tempcard so he could work/drive.

Thennnn 6 days later on June 7th arrived the card!!

So we are D O N E WITH USCIS!!! The fees, the #######, the waiting....DONE!!! :dance::dance::dance:

1/10/05 Filed I-129f

1/12/05 NOA1

2/9/05 NOA2

2/25/05 Case forwarded to Casablanca

(Marrakech postal issues)

5/2/05 Fiance picks up Packet 3/4

5/6/05 Medical

5/23/05 Interview (recieved 221g)

5/31/05 VISA IN HAND! ALHAMDULLILAH!!

Truly I am blessed

7/6/05 Rachid arrives in USA (POE Philly) with my family

7/8/05 Rachid arrives to Atlanta (home to me)

7/8/05 Wedding!!! (ceremonial)

7/22/05 Recieve SSN Card

9/26/05 Married

12/31/05 AOS/EAD/AP sent off

1/4/06 Package arrives at Chicago Lockbox

1/18/06 Checks cashed all NOA's recvd :)

3/31/06 Recv'd AOS appointment letter for May 23rd

MAY 23RD AOS APPROVED (now waiting for prints to clear)

6/7/06 RECEIVED WELCOME LETTER :)

6/14/06 GREENCARD HATH ARRIVED!!! :))))

05/31/08 Filed Removal of Conditions

06/22/08 Biometrics done

APRROVVED JUNE 1ST 2009

09/10/2009 - Amended Notice I-797 Email?

09/15/2009 - NVC Received file

09/16/2009 - NOA2 Hardcopy received!

09/17/2009 - NVC sent file to consulate

09/25/2009 - Consulate received hardcopy file

Hmmm.... we prob will in future. But the hard part is over rather.

But its a great relief not to worry about his status, and what happens if we

arent approved etc.

This next step will be a choice rather than a requirement. And the

sight of expiration yr 2019 is beeyutiful!!

Congrats!

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

Congrats, but if your spouce wants to become a citizen then you are not yet done with USCIS.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

Congratulations. Yes, I understand exactly what you mean about any further involvement with USCIS is a choice rather than a necessity (at least until 2019, hehehe)! It is a nice feeling.

04/14/2009 - Biometrics Done

08/10/2009 - Approved

08/13/2009 - Approval letter received (Online status still Pending)
