hello,

my fiance has filed for me as a K1f visa .i am staying in Gujarat and my passport has issued from Surat passport office,Gujarat in 2007 August.But i have studied in Manglore,Karnataka for four years (from 2002 to 2006). Should i need to get police clearance certificate from Manglore???

this is all geting confusing. i have a similar case and i wrote an email to mumbai embassy and they said you only need one from your local police. :confused:

And Mumbai consulate is right. You need 1 from local police and 1 from the district your passport has been issued from.

So if you are currently living in Mumbai but your passport was issued from your native place of Chennai for example. You get the Police one from Mumbai and Passport one from Chennai.
