Ouch, that's rough. You got an RFE before you got NOA1? May I ask what for?

Improved USCIS Form G-325A (Biographic Information)

Form field input font changed to allow entry of dates in the specified format and to provide more space for addresses and employment history. This is the 6/12/09 version of the form; the current version is 8/8/11, but previous versions are accepted per the USCIS forms page.

Yeah they called and sent us an RFE

Its a REQUEST for Evidence...Then after 1 month plus

we got the NOA1... :crying:

Yes, RFE = Request for Evidence. But BEFORE NOA1? That is so unusual. What was missing in your petition? Sorry this happened to you... Hope you hear soon.

Sorry I wasn't more clear. I know that an RFE is a Request for Evidence; I meant to ask what they requested in the RFE.

My fiance didnt sent all the evidence that we had...He thought that all that he sent was

alright and he never thought that they will as for more evidences...

So I pasted all the evidences in a bond paper, all the reciept ,pictures, plane ticket, letters, cards, emails and

phone conversation and chat...Intact and sent it to my fiance in USA then when he got it

he sent it to the VSC...That was all... ;)

Thanks for the info.

The I-129F is a very confusing form. Many of the evidentiary documents that must be included are not mentioned on the form itself, only in the instructions. Without the information I gained from VisaJourney, I probably would have left things out too!

Anyway, hopefully since your RFE was before NOA1, there won't be any further delay in your processing; I think it's the RFEs after NOA1 that add extra time to the process. Good luck and best wishes for a speedy process from this point forward!

Something isn't right about your timeline above. Either the sent date or the NOA1 date is off. It wouldn't take 4+ months from the time you sent the petition to get the NOA1. And as others have said, you wouldn't get an RFE before the NOA1.

If your NOA1 was in January (soon after filing), the good news is that your expected adjudication date will move up if you correct the date in your timeline. The bad news is that the date might have already passed, meaning it's up in the air when you might get the NOA2.

Best of luck - hope they get you something soon.

I never would have believed my journey to happiness would begin with something called an "I-129F"

03/19/09 - I-129F Sent

03/20/09 - NOA1 (rec'd harcopy 3/26/09)

03/24/09 - Check cleared

03/25/09 - Touched

8/12/09 - Touched (4 hours before NOA2 email)

8/12/09 - NOA2 email received

***Received email at noon (Weds)

***USCIS site did update with the status

***Was 113 on Berkeley list; 156 on VJ list
