Im not in USA yet but Im just curious to know how many years before

the embassy will issue me a Green Card after I applied? And how many years it takes

to visit my country Philippines? Does it really take 5 years or more?

If yes what are the best thing to do so that it will not take that long

before I can visit my country? And ideas please buzz up!!!

From when your fiance petitions for a visa for you to you getting the visa takes about a year, give or take a few months.

You have 6 months to use that visa, and once you use it (ie move to the USA), 90 days to get married. Once you are married you must file AoS, which will give you a green card. That usually takes about 3-4 months, and once you have your green card, you can travel/ visit the Philipines, but only to visit, you must spend more time in the USA than outside of it.

Not sure where the 5 year thing comes from, because even getting US citizenship only takes three years if you are married to a USC.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.
