Hi! This thread is a great read for getting an idea what you can come up in the interview.

Although my husband was in London with me on the day of the interview, he didn't join me inside the embassy....we left him in a cafe nearby with our baggage and stuff.

For London interviews, especially when the beneficiary is a UK citizen, I do not believe there is any observed advantage in terms of approval/AP etc. I have heard the feeling that if the USC had been present for a NON UK citizen's interview, they thought things may have gone differently, but of course, we could never know for sure.

The US citizen isn't really supposed to say anything, but could be there to clarify any issues with the affidavit of support. However, this can be solved with advance preparation long distance as well.

Perhaps for you and your fiance, the emotional support is benefit enough to justify the cost of the trip. Even "easy" cases can create a lot of nervous stress.

From my reading of the embassy interviews, many many more beneficiaries go alone rather than with their USC petitioner in tow. Nik went on his own and did just fine without me.
