I submitted my removal of conditions in December 2008, got the passport stamp in February, but have had no online "touches" on my cases since January 29 this year.

I notice that people who filed to remove conditions long after me have been getting their approvals and now I'm getting worried. Anyone else in this position? Do I need to make an Infopass appointment?

I filed at Vermont (although on my NOA it says ESC as the service center). I just called customer service and tried repetedly to put in my receipt number to check on my case, but the computerized voice kept telling me that I hant input all 10 digits of the number - which I did, countless times! Guess I'll have to call back and speak to a real person tomorrow.

Do not panic, because I have seen on VJ and another forum some january-feb filers still waiting for approval, well since you applied end of december it's almost like january filers..

But if I was you I would definitely call and ask for service request or whatever they call it.

I seen on other forum ,to be able to talk a real person ,people advising to press 1-2-3 after hearing the computerized voice. so when I called couple weeks ago, after dialing the number I just press 1-2-3 one after the other, and someone real came up to answer my question..

so try it tomorrow and ask customer represantative to transfer you to an immigration officer. When immigration officer comes up, after talking him/her about the problem just mention if you dont get any answer soon ,you r planning to go to congressman or senator.. I 've read on different threads people say that mentioning senators congresman pushing immigration officers to adjudicate on the case, I dont know whether it has a truth or not though.

I wish you best of luck, hopefully you'll get your card soon.

I feel like after calling tomorrow, mostly in 2 weeks you'll see a change on your status from" pending" to "case approved"

lets see whether I am a good fortune teller or not:))

best wishes

Hello,

You are out of 6 months timeframe. So i advice you to call representatives and click on 1,2,3 to talk to someone. and tell them to do service iquiry about your case and make infopass and go to your local Immigration office , maybe they could do something about your case if not . contact congressman/ and senator.

Good Luck.

Thanks for the input, everyone.

The I was lucky enough to be able to get an Infopass appointment yesterday to enquire about my case. The officer told me that it's still active and that they have everything they need to process my application - which started in Vermont, went to Missouri and is now somewhere in California!

She said it was last "touched" mid-July and that I should hear something between now and January 2010. Although the website says that they are processing apps from Feb 2009, she said that there are many people like me who applied before that date and still haven't had a decision.

Oh well, let the waiting game continue...

Hi,

i had the same problem, i filed mine in October 2008, scheduled and infopass, my file was touched in July '09 and was told to wait. My application was transferred to CSC on March 2009. My extension letter expires in October, 09. The IO told me to get the stamp some time in September if no action is taken by then. I know its frustrating but it is the system.

Well, I got the stamp in my passport in February because my extension letter never arrived. Here's hoping I hear something before it expires! But it certainly is frustrating when I read about all these people who applied after me and have already been approved. Makes you wonder if there is any rhyme or reason to the way the USCIS handles its business.

I was in the same boat last year (filed July 08, got approved March 09) everybody was approved around me - pretty bad feeling!

However, after 7 months waiting I had an infopass appointment that was a complete waste of time, a very rude officer told me to shut up and wait another year before coming back to complain, also to expect an interview for sure "since all these applicants are interviewed" (yeah right).

I then called the service line and a very nice lady put in a service request. Two days later I had the approval email and other week later the card was in the mail. But you have to be past the posted processing time for them to do anything!

Good Luck!

Thanks so much for this info. I just called the service line and got a very nice lady also, who put in a service request, gave me a reference number, and told me that I should be contacted within 45 days. Fingers crossed that I'll have the same luck as you get an approval email soon!
