Don't forget it was weekend, no post on sunday's.... Just have some patient, mostly takes about a week from what ive seen in timelines. America to Europe is pretty far distance. Mostly when my hubby sends something from America it takes up to 5 days before I get it. Sometimes earlier. Don't forget that after it was send to your consulate they have to look through it and then send it to you. Good luck and congratz on the NOA2

Love is patient and kind;

it is not jealous or conceited or proud;

love is not ill-mannered or selfish or irritable;

love does not keep a record of wrongs;

love is not happy with evil, but is happy with the truth.

Love never gives up; and its faith, hope, and patience never fail.

Love is eternal.

Technically I guess once a shipment is sent, it only takes a day or so for Frankfurt to get it (sent via DHL). Frankfurt is usually very efficient about sending out packet 3 within a day or so of receiving these files.

I'd give it a few more days - it will come.

(Have you already scheduled your medical?)

Can you schedule your medical before getting your interview date in Germany? If so, that's awesome. That is NOT the case in Jamaica... you have to wait & hope that they have availability at the medical facilities 10 days before your interview.

It's up to you guys - depends really on how far away you live from the nearest Civil Surgeon - if she's near Frankfurt she can get it out of the way at any time. (We chose to do the medical as soon as we had the case number so the Consulate would already have the results by the time we got our interview - usually it's not an issue but we did it just in case we got an early(ier) interview than expected.

On the other hand - some folks will do the medical the day or so before the interview.

Where does she live?

she lives in giessen. which is not to far from frankfurt when i was there it would usually take us about 45 mins to an hour to get there..i have my nvc case number...should she just go with the case number and the medical fee...or do i need more then that...she can most likely go this week

Have to (obviously) make an appointment - I'm pretty sure Karin brought passport photos (can't swear to it though and she's not here for me to ask) but when calling to make the appointment, all she needs to do is ask what else to bring (besides the NVC#, fee and possibly photos).

Karin is reminding me that yes, you do have to pay the visa fee before sending back the packet 3 - at the time, she paid it via bank account (a very common method in Germany/Europe) but she believes you can now pay via the Internet. The instructions will be included with the Packet 3 checklist.

medical in Frankfurt: no appointment necessary, I just went there at 7.30 in the morning. fee: 140 euros, bring a passport foto (I brought 2, just in case), NVC number, passport (important, they need the passport number), vaccination records. It's useful to check with the family doctor first if any shots are necessary. She needs to be up to date with those shots: Tdap (if she had a Td in the past 5 years, she most likely get a waiver for this one), Polio, (2) two measels-rubella-mumps shots in her entire life, under/or 26: HPV, also history of varicella (either she had them and knows at which age or her GP could do a titer test), without any varicella history she most likely will need the shot. I had the varicella titer test done and my GP wrote it in my vaccination records, just in case.

Good luck!
