okay- now it is officially "Tuesday" time for me- 12:19 a.m. EST. lol

Hope to have lunch with an old high school buddy. We meet about once a year.

Each day this week Ghassan and I are discussing what we did a year ago... Tuesday is when we went up into the mountains in Damascus and then went to this little pastry shop and ate some creme-filled pastry... that I think did my stomach in the next day...argh...Wednesday's memories are of the different bathrooms in Damascus restaurants. lol. (which can be a whole topic by itself- oh, the variety of what is used for toilets!) lol.

Have a GREAT ONE!

Baj :goofy:

ah. the longing....

Not a good Tuesday for me. My Dad called me and woke me up this morning telling me my cousin accidentally drowned back home. He was only 19, one year younger than me...

Good luck and my best wishes for you . (F)

Nothing's impossible . Nothing's unreachable .When I am weary you make me stronger

This love is beautiful .So unforgettable . I feel no winter cold when we are together .

Will you stand by me ?!!!Hold on and never let me go .

Will you stand by me?!! With you i know i belong . When the story gets told .

When day turns into night .I look into your eyes . I see my future now .All the world and its wonder

This love wont fade away. And through the hardest days . I will never question us .You are the reason my only reason.

I'm blessed to find what i need in a world loosing hope. you are my only believe .

You make things right every time after time.....

Will you stand by me ?!!!

I love you so much and i miss you so much more .

YHA, I'm so sorry.

Rosie, do you deliver? That sounds sooooooo good and I'm really missing American food. Don't get me wrong, Egyptian food is good but there's nothing like ... baked chicken ... and ohyummie baked beans.

Bajih, that's so romantic <sniff>

Alright, thanks for all of the well-wishes. No visa today (not a surprise). I don't know all of the details but from what I do know, I will say this: Egypt guys in particular, don't listen to your "friends" and their stupid advice because interviews are not the same four questions for everyone. Cairo clearly doesn't play and they were far less interested in whether he knew my date of birth than they were in bonafides - which he didn't have to take (I guess his "friends" never mentioned the importance of proving a marriage is for something more than a greencard). He'll be here in a couple of hours and I can hardly wait to hear all about how this is somehow my fault because I just know that's what's coming.....

Ihavequestions, let us know when you get the full story. I don't think anyone walks out of Cairo with visa in hand, but I'm not clear from what you said if he was totally denied or it's an RFE or just on AP or what.

And yeah... the blame game. God forbid an Egyptian male was ever responsible for anything that has gone wrong.:lol:

ya hayat alby ♥ I am sorry to hear about your cousin. (F)

Hope everyone else has a wonderful Tuesday! :star:

Living with hubby in Egypt, at last.
