Timeline

Hi,

I have been reading the forums and was wondering if someone could go through the costs for me

I know the initial filing fee is $355 for each , Myself and my son. total of $ 710

But Im sure there is more fees and when are these fees due/paid ?

Here is a general breakdown of the costs for 1 person, if you are filing and I-130 for your son as well, double this

CR-1

I-130: $355

NVC I-864: $70

NVC Visa fee: $400 ($355+$45)

($825)

Then there is the medical (around $275+) plus the cost of shipping and getting the police certificate, passport photos, etc.

This process is many things - inexpensive it is not.

April 29, 2013 - NOA1 for petition received

September 10, 2013 Interview - decision could not be made.

April 15, 2014 APPROVED. Wait for oath ceremony

Waited...

September 29, 2015 - sent letter to senator.

October 16, 2015 - US Citizen

Don't forget to budget for transportation costs to the US when the visa is finally granted.

AOS Timeline

4/14/10 - Packet received at Chicago Lockbox at 9:22 AM (Day 1)

4/24/10 - Received hardcopy NOAs (Day 10)

5/14/10 - Biometrics taken. (Day 31)

5/29/10 - Interview letter received 6/30 at 10:30 (Day 46)

6/30/10 - Interview: 10:30 (Day 77) APPROVED!!!

6/30/10 - EAD received in the mail

7/19/10 - GC in hand! (Day 96) .

4/6/2010 letter from NVC arrives to son dated 3/4/2010
5/4/10 received AOS and DS3032 via email
9/22/10 Interview BOG Passed
10/3/10 POE JFK all went well
11/11/10 GC Received smile.png
