As soon as the DoS says that my case has been processed in Vancouver can I fax my stuff to Vancouver?

Has anyone ever done that before physically receiving their packet 3?

I would wait until at least Vancouver has received your packet from NVC and mailed you a letter. They were very quick in a matter of a few days Packet 3 letter was mailed out. You can also email the consulate to ask when Packet 3 was mailed, then after that fax it back. All it will be is a letter stating to go to the website to download the Packet 3 checklist and forms.

If Vancouver doesn't have your package yet, they're more than likely going to toss it back to you wondering who the hell you are. I know you're anxious, but you should really wait.

Hehe, no I mean once they have my information and are sending me the packet 3. Do I have to wait until I've physically received it.

How would you know they sent it out? i don't ever remember being notified or finding out when they excactly sent it.... but i would hardly think it would shave any time off the wait in the end

You can phone the DoS and they will tell you if your consulate has received and processed your stuff from the NVC.

Here's what I did. My k1 stuff had a big ol run around so I e-mailed Vancouver A LOT. I'd just e-mail them and be like do you have my case yet? The moment they said yes I faxed my papers. I'd bring them with me to work everyday until they said yes lol But I'm pushy so *shrugs*

That's what I was looking for, do they accepted it no problems and booked your interview? My package is in downtown Vancouver and should get delivered today, maybe I'm deluding myself but I hope that I can find out my interview date today.

Okay yeah no that won't work lol. Just e-mail them and ask if they have your case. From what I understand the docs may need to get screened and what not first.
