I am a US citizen and my wife(recently married) is from Japan. She currnently has a working visa and a social security number.

We are about to send in the I-130/I-131/I-485 forms

WE DO NOT know where to send the I-864 form--I have seen information telling us to send this to the National Visa Center(NVC),

but she already is legally living in the United States....where should we send this form? If so can we send it at the same time with I-130/I-131/I-485 to the USCIS in Chicago?

Thank you for taking the time to read this and hopefully someone out there can help us.

864 is sent with the 485.

Johnsocal2009-

My situation might be very similar to yours..

I came here from Japan as F-1, OPT and H-1b (work visa)…and I got married to my USC husband 2 months ago…

Ok…I-864 is one of support documents that you need to include in your package of I-485.

As Inna said… you need to send the entire package (i-485, 130, 131 (AP..if you need one) and 765 (EAD, if you need one) to Chicago lock box.

Do not forget to include all evidences you need to have for I-864.

My husband requested irs to get his tax transcripts for 2006, 2007 (optional) and 2008 as well as EVL (employment verification letter) from his HR office.

And you wife still needs to complete all medical exam (i-693).

Good luck :star:
