Hello All,

So I am getting ready to send in my I-751 form for my wife and I have a question. My packet is pretty much assembled and I am ready to mail it to California. While reviewing the instruction sheet, it explains how a sworn affidavit by 2 people that personally know my wife and I can be used as proof of marriage. Is this a requirement? Or is it a general guideline of what can be used? I feel like I have lots of supporting documentation of our marriage. Thanks in advance for your input!

That is a good idea!

Below is what I have included on my cover letter:

• Completed I-751 form

• Addendum to I-751

• Copy of wifes Green Card (front and back)

• AT&T Phone bill showing joint ownership

• Copy of Booking receipt and confirmation showing we traveled to Istanbul for vacation

• Loan Servicing Center showing Wife and I joint on our home mortgage and a printout showing Current Loan Information for our mortgage

• A total of 4 bank statements (2 for me and 2 for wife) along with a signed letter from my credit union stating our accounts are held jointly

• IRS tax transcripts showing wife and I have filled jointly for tax years 2006, 2007 and 2008

• 14 color photographs showing wife and I with friends and family

Let me know what you think...

Thanks!

I do believe I can get something from my insurance company stating my wife is authorized to drive. Other than that, everything comes in my name--even the insurance and cable bills.

Initially I had my husband as an unlicesened driver them I changed it once he got his licese. This would help I sent 2 each year since 07 so I sent 5 or 6 from the insurance where it showed his name

Evidence looks good. How about something to show either you or your wife as the other's beneficiary? Life insurance, medical insurance, investments? I think with what you have, you shouldn't be too worried about the affidavits.

About the phone bill and the bank statements though .. ensure that they span the time between receiving the 2 yr. conditional green card and now. They are not just looking for a snapshot of now, but a history of living together as a married couple.

Thank you for all the pointers. I am going to call my insurance agent and have him fax over proof my wife is on my policy. I also now have a copy of our health insurance card showing the same account information for both of us.

Thanks so much!!

Bence eger imkanin varsa affidavitleri koy derim, ben bi tane kayinbiraderden bi tane de arkadastan ekledim, neticede dosyana zarari degil faydasi olur bence.

- herhangi bi elektrik, cable, ev telefonu vb billeri de koy, joint olmasa sadece birinizin adi olsa bile yine de yasadiginiz adresi confirm ediyo, billerin ustundeki ismi ve adresi highlighter la ciz.

- ehliyetlerin yada state id lerinizin ustunde ikinizin de adresi ayni gorunuyosa esinin ve senin ehliyetlerinizin copyasini yada state ID lerinizin kopyasini da ayni sayfada kopyalayip ,green kart kopyasinin arkasinda dosyaya koy, bunlar hep ayni adreste yasadiginizin kanitleri.

Hi,

For a complete list of good evidence and documents for I-751 read this:

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=182620

Assemble your packet and punch 2 holes and use ACCO fasteners to bind them together. You can also use labels like this.

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=205915

Finally I would suggest using USPS Express mail and using of money order as I got NOA faster. It's not a rule of thumb just my experience.

Hope it helps.

Good Luck.
