Well it's 9 days til I fly out and although i don't FEEL super stressed (not overly anxious or panicking or waht not), my weight keeps dropping cos I'm too busy to eat right and keep getting distracted.

I'm not a big one for junk food (Its not that I don't like it, I do, but it never really fills me up - always get hungry later), so I tend to eat a lot of salady type things and a lot of fish - and I AM making sure I have a good meal in the evening - but during the day alas I'm tending to survive on capuccino (lol) and no I'm not taking sugar in it - I find sugar just makes me feel awfully draggy and tired which doesn't help.

When I got weighed at the Visa Medical, the doc said I was 126lbs (I'm 5ft 7), and I'm normally slightly light cos that's how my body likes it - I'm very small boned and don't carry weight well (it makes my knees protest, lol). Well I reckon since then I've probably dropped somwhere between 5 and 10 lbs (can't be sure as the scales I have at home are cr@p, lol)

I spose I should be grateful I tend to LOSE weight when Im stressed and not gain it, but I can't help being annoyed cos I'm starting to look drawn and my menstrual cycle has given up and gone home.

Even days when I FORCE myself to eat 3 meals I'm still not gaining any weight - I guess once all this is behind me (the moving), the problem should correct itself.

Oh well - just wanted to vent :)

If you're tired, have you tried adding "good" carbs to your diet? Brown rice or quinoa, a slice of whole grain toast or something-this can make a huge difference in the amount of energy you have. It really sounds like you need to balance out your diet a bit if you're dropping weight. Good carbs add bulk without adding fat.

Hope you feel better!

I guess I could look on the positive side - that if I'm gonna put on weight after I arrive then starting extra thin might mean I just go back to 'normal'

And no I didn't eat today yet - apart from a little bit of soya-yoghurt earlier - been too busy lol

wow, I have EXACTLY the same problem as you! Im also 5"7, very slender and at my best 120 pounds..which looks fine. But the minute I am stessed, anxious, sick or even excited, my stomach shuts down. No hunger signals, I could just LOOK at an empty plate and lose weight. Im currently at around 110 which I dont like at all, although I do work out and have some muscle, thank god for that.

One thing that helps, try and eat something first thing in the morning... when I manage that Im hungry all day. If I dont or forget, I might only be hungry once and not realize Ive only eaten once that day. I dont/ cant eat junk either so I know how hard it is to put it on when your eating good food. Takes me a month to put on a kilo eating all day and going to the gym, yet it can fall off in three days if I get stressed or a cold .

I know how you feel, it just sucks.

Exercise helps with stress.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

Can you try at least to eat lean protein in the mornings and daytime? I'm sure you know that - but just want to emphasize when you are taking in less calories, most people lack enough protein intake and in turn lose muscle weight as well as put a strain on your organs.

Don't worry, you'll gain it all back soon. I lost 15 pounds after Javier left for Mexico. He's been home less than 6 months and it's almost all back. I was stressed to the max and couldn't eat anything. I also had acid reflux which started acting up. I was taking Nexium twice a day and another acid reducer twice a day. I was a mess. But, alas, he came back and so did my appetite.

Just couldn't stay my @ss away!

hugs!

take care of yourself! Glad to see that you're eating healthy stuff at least. Watch you iron intake, you don't want to be anemic on top of all this. A multivitamin may cover the basics. And make sure you're hydrated - coffee is a diuretic.
